Hygiene. As food hygiene rules are generally well observed, there is no major risk except for poisoning or diarrhoea. Do not abuse the food sold by street vendors, but do not deprive yourself of tasting it either, especially since Mauritius is an island renowned for its street food.
Sea and beaches. Be careful, sea urchins and stone fish also like Mauritian beaches. It is recommended to walk in plastic shoes in rocky areas
No vaccinations required. Only conventional vaccines (diphtheria, tetanus, polio) need to be updated
