SOURKHARBAAN

The national (and sports) Bouriate holiday celebrates beauty and physical skill. Sourkharbaan honours traditional jousting, especially archery (the origin of its name). Other expected (and male) events are wrestling and horse racing. The bator, the wrestlers, are real stars! In its current version, the event also includes a beauty contest, dance shows, traditional song concerts. It is also an opportunity to discover other stars, those of the Buryat pop.
