Time difference Namibia

There is almost no time difference between France and Namibia, ideal to avoid jet-lag when you get off the plane. There is only a one hour time difference between Windhoek and Paris from November to April. When it is noon in Paris, it is 1pm in Windhoek.

Opening hours Namibia

To see / To do Namibia

In Namibia, time is time. It seems that there is a clear legacy of the German presence here: we get up early and we go to bed just as early. It's not a bad thing, because it allows to live at the rhythm of the sun. In general, the stores open at 8 am and close at 6 pm, these times correspond to the peak of traffic on the roads of Windhoek. But the crowds in Namibia are relative... you should never be bothered by them! Remember to book your accommodation and your dinners in restaurants, especially on weekends.

Enjoying yourself Namibia

Restaurants are generally open from Monday to Saturday, with some exceptions on Sunday lunchtime. It is best to make a reservation for dinner, regardless of the day of the week. Lunch, on the other hand, is a little quieter. Note that Namibians dine very early: it is not uncommon to sit at the table at 6:30 pm and most restaurants will not serve you after 8 pm, think about it!

Take a break Namibia

Most of the bars are open from Monday to Saturday, until 10 pm. After that, it's best to head for the few nightclubs in town!

(To) please yourself Namibia

The stores close at 6pm on weekdays and at 12pm on Saturdays: don't hang around, because here, the time is the time! On Sundays, everything is closed

Get out Namibia

Outside of nightclubs, places of exit usually close at 9-10pm. In clubs, however, you can enjoy the place until about 2am. The peak of the nightclub season is precisely when the other places close, from 10pm.
