In these times of health crisis, here's a nice lightning bolt for travel lovers. Since October 22nd, President Hage Geingob has lifted almost all travel restrictions for Namibia. Thus, for all those who wish to enjoy the country's treasures, only a negative PCR test of less than 72 hours is required. No quarantine is imposed on descent from the plane, nor a second test to be done after five days. People are free to move freely throughout the country. However, persons arriving in Namibia with a negative PCR test of more than 72 hours and a maximum of 7 days are required to undergo a 7-day quarantine at a government-approved tourist facility. Importantly, persons residing in Namibia, of Namibian nationality or with a work permit are allowed to enter the country without a test result or with a positive test, but are subject to mandatory quarantine.
