It is more or less a carbon copy of the Bodeguita del Medio in Havana, the famous bar where Hemingway used to come to drink his mojitos. Except that the Santa Clara version has much more space. The mojitos are good and highly recommended, but Bodeguita del Medio is also, without a doubt, one of the best places to eat in town. Classic Cuban dishes, well made and at a good price, are indeed served in the room after the bar (take a little sweater, the air-conditioning is on full blast!)

Built on a rocky promontory overlooking the ocean, with a breathtaking panorama, the former residence of the wealthy Franco-American businessman, Irénée du Pont de Nemours, still displays all its opulence. Excellent cuisine and successful forays into French gastronomy, not to mention the service! Those who are a little short of cash will opt for a drink in one of the two cafés of the establishment: the 19 Hoyo Snack Bar and the Casa Blanca Panoramic Bar

For the quality of its cuisine, the variety of its formulas and its buffet at 7 CUC, much more economical. Specialities (cordon chicken, supreme chicken, pork and ox in oven with ham) and seasonal fruit.

On the top floor of a large building in the Vedado, an unusual paladar with a superb view of the city from the terrace. Inside, it's so chic and designer that you'd think you were in Miami. The canopies, the shutters, the paintings, the furniture from the 1950s, everything has been carefully studied and it's really successful. Drinks include champagne, cocktails and Rioja wines, and the food is a festival of scents and colors. Your taste buds will love the seafood and meat specialties divinely prepared and presented.

It was the location of the famous film Fresa y Chocolate, directed in 1993 by the Cuban director Gutierrez Alea, and since 1996 it has been one of the best paladaresin the city, located on the third floor of this beautiful, old palace with a slightly surreal atmosphere. A pleasant paladar installed in a colonial house. There are two rooms, one of which is air-conditioned and decorated in a design style, with a pleasant cocktail bar. The restaurant has just been enlarged which makes it even more pleasant and a smoking area has even been set up in the patio. The cuisine served is typically Cuban with a wide selection of seafood. If you are very hungry, we recommend the combination of lobster, shrimp and fish dishes. Attentive service. Recent renovation. Reopening: May 2022.

A good place to stop when you arrive, because you can enjoy the typical atmosphere, enjoying a good mojito, sitting on the terrace on the magnificent square of the cathedral. You can also eat some local tinkering: tapas, sandwiches, salads, steaks and possibly lobster. Mojitos correct from 3 CUC. A very pleasant address with excellent value for money.

A traditional Cuban restaurant of rustic style, all in wood, with several small and pleasant terraces overlooking the famous red tiles of the roofs of Trinidad. The theme of the establishment? The good wine! Hence the superb wine cellar in the basement, and the specialty of the casa, the unctuous lamb in wine. The menu also includes excellent pizzas, spaghetti dishes and a variety of grilled meats. The meal is often accompanied by live music and, why not, very good mojitos! Enjoy your meal.

A relatively young restaurant in the landscape of Trinidad, installed on the floor of a beautiful traditional house superbly restored. Behind its blue facade, we discover a cosy setting with a view on the roofs of the city. Here, you can enjoy creative tapas made with good farm products. Fast and attentive service. Very nice pictures of Trinidad on the walls because the owner is Julio Muñoz (owner of Casa Muñoz), a photo enthusiast. Good address which changes a little of all that one finds in the city.

Installed in a beautiful and large house restored in a modern and tasteful way, this restaurant offers a superb setting, especially since it has several terraces. It is particularly pleasant at the time of the aperitif because of the live music from 7 pm to 10:30 pm. For the dishes, it is the Cuban gastronomy which is with the honor with many specialities of grills to the wood fire (see the space barbecue at the bottom of the restaurant). The staff is well dressed and attentive. Good wine list. A sure value and definitely recommended!

This small rustic-style wooden house is a very good fish restaurant that buys directly from the fishermen. Cafe Bahia is, with Jama (Habana Vieja), one of the few establishments in Havana to offer sushi, sashimi and ceviche. The quality is excellent, you can go there with your eyes closed! The restaurant is held by an adorable family, which does not spoil anything... Very nice terrace in the Miramar district, near the Vedado (two blocks from the river). A very recommendable address in short!

The restaurant (only for lunch) is installed in a cave in the middle of nature. There is also a discotheque (from 10 pm to 4 am) and a bar (try the excellent Ochun cocktail). During lunch, you will be treated to live Afro-Cuban music. During the day, you can visit the cave that once housed runaway slaves, called cimarrones, through a tunnel whose entrance is located near the restaurant.

A restaurant located in a beautiful colonial house full of charm (the "house of the prince" in French), well restored with a nice wooden ceiling, walls repainted in warm tones, and a beautiful patio. The waiters are all elegantly dressed and the welcome is friendly. The cuisine, both Cuban and international, is of good quality. We recommend the cheese soup and the grilled meat. Special mention for the original decoration, which looks very authentic, and the photos of Camaguey dating from the beginning of the 20th century.

It is the only restaurant in town that offers Mediterranean specialties based on pasta, pizza and olives with all kinds of sauces (hence the name). A good way to eat healthy and an alternative to Cuban dishes. It is also worth noting that the cheese (especially goat cheese) used in the various dishes is made on the restaurant's own eco-friendly farm, which you can also visit. You can also buy fresh goat cheese directly on the spot. An organic address and really different in the Cuban landscape.

El Palatino Snack Bar is a fast food restaurant located in the central square - Parque José Martí - in the oldest building in the city! The setting is simply superb and the mojitos are excellent. You can also taste other cocktails very well made as well as small coffees rather well made. If some tourists can appear in the landscape from time to time, the atmosphere remains quite local. It is not rare that bands come to liven up the place during the day.

To change Cuban culinary classics, pasta and pizza fans will quickly recover their brands. Impeccable room and efficient service.

Restaurant founded in 1896, whose facade is identifiable with the horn of abundance. Its interior is inspired by those Spanish taverns that blossom good the peninsula with the posters of toreros. Fidel Castro, as a student, had his habits. Try home specialty: the lacon con dads (ham, potato) you can water from a Spanish wine.

You will install in the room, which gives on the still very lively Plaza del Cristo, or in the patio. Typical Cuban dishes (try chicken salad, a treat!), accompanied by a good beer (Crystal or Bucanero). Digestion also facilitated after the absorption of the excellent mojito (2 CUC), much cheaper than the Bodeguita del Medio. Music groups frequently occur.

Antonio, a very friendly owner, multiplies passions. A football fan, including Atletic Bilbao, he also collects tickets from all over the world, including those issued prior to the Cuban revolution. The staff were friendly and helpful. Attention: Don't confuse this restaurant with the same name located at the corner of Calle Empedrado and Calle Mercaderes, Calle Ignacio, because it is much less good!
