The beautiful days are finally here! There's nothing like a little trip to get back in shape at the end of winter. But where to go in March? Here are some ideas for getaways that should help you recharge your batteries.

Where to go in March to enjoy the sun?

Without waiting for summer you can already start to change air, without going very far

What if you went to discover some islands?

To start with, let's go to the Breton islands! Little frequented in spring, the islands of Brittany are very pleasant to visit in March. You can fill up with good vibes and iodized air in a preserved nature. We recommend you in particular the Ile aux Moines, the largest of the islands of the Gulf of Morbihan, known for its mild climate and its pretty typical fishermen's houses. The island of Groix, located 45 minutes from Lorient, is also a nice getaway thanks to its beaches with transparent waters and its steep coast where hiking possibilities are numerous.

For a little more exoticism, go to the Spanish island of Majorca! Located 200 km off the Iberian Peninsula in the Balearic archipelago in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, the island of Mallorca is worth much more than the clichés of concrete coastline and uncontrolled tourism that stick to its skin! And this is even more true in March, a period when summer visitors are still far away...Spain's largest island offers the greatest variety of landscapes in the Balearic Islands, between hidden coves bathed in crystal clear water and fine sandy beaches lined with pine trees, without forgetting the peaks of the Serra de Tramuntana or the Dragon's Caves in Porto Cristo

The mountain being close to the city center, it is very easy to go for walks on the various marked out paths. A real breath of fresh air!And what if you went for a ride in the Italian Alps for a little more change of scenery? Stretching from the majestic Mont Blanc range to the Dolomites, the Italian Alps are among the most enchanting landscapes in Europe. The region of the great lakes, nestled in the mountains and whose most famous representatives are Lake Maggiore and Lake Como, is home to some of the most luxurious villas of American celebrities. In the summer months, visitors can enjoy a refreshing dip in the blue water of the lakes before setting sail for the Borromean Islands. Hikers and mountaineers will be delighted to explore the valleys of the Dolomites, which are studded with needles and spires, as well as to climb Mont Blanc or the Grandes-Jorasses

Where to go in March for a city break?

If you are more in the mood for a city break, there are some cities that are particularly charming and exotic on sunny days.

A few kilometers from the German border, Strasbourg

is a very popular international destination, seat of the major European institutions. Its majestic cathedral is the most visited in France, after Notre-Dame de Paris. Symbol of the city, it was built in 1220 and remains one of the most beautiful examples of Gothic architecture. The Grande-Île where it is located is the historical center of Strasbourg. After discovering it, buy a sauerkraut to go at one of the restaurants in the city center, to discover the typical Alsatian cuisine!

Further south, Porto is a great urban getaway in March thanks to its sunny weather and rich heritage. Less known than Lisbon, it is nevertheless a magnificent Portuguese city built over the mouth of the Douro

River, not far from which is the old center with its pretty cobbled streets littered with stores, cafés, churches, monasteries and markets. Here you can buy some very good Port wine by visiting the different cellars where you can enjoy illuminated tastings.
