N°10 - Wunderland Kalkar - Dusseldorf, Germany

u.êbersich

Symbol of useless public expenses, the nuclear power station of Kalkar was never exploited because it was too dangerous for the environment. It was then transformed into... amusement park! This beautiful nose-thumbing to the industrialists was born in 1995. All the elements of the breeder reactor have been recycled: you can for example climb on the imposing cooling tower, which is now decorated with a fresco of an alpine landscape, and you can even sleep in one of the buildings of the reactor which houses a hotel!

No. 9 - Universal Island of Adventures - Orlando, USA

Marina 113

Welcome to Orlando, welcome to America! The entertainment city offers an incredible number of theme parks. One of the best is without a doubt Universal Island of Adventures. Its attractions, based on the universes of Universal films, have often won awards. This is the case of "Harry Potter and the forbidden Journey", best "scenic ride" attraction in the world. A dive into our favorite movies, as if we were there!

N°8 - Europa Park - Rust , Germany

Philartphace

Voted best amusement park in the world at the "Golden Tickets Awards" in the United States, Europa Park is located only a few kilometers from the French border in Germany. The park has a total of 55 attractions including the famous Silver Star, Europe's second largest roller coaster. With a height of 73 m and a speed of up to 130km/h, it promises to give you a good scare! Europa Park also offers innovative attractions such as "Alpenexpress", a virtual reality experience never done before.

No. 7 - Action Park - Vernon, USA

DR

Many urban legends surround Action Park. It is considered the most dangerous park in the world, and for good reason: there are no less than six deaths and a hundred accidents in 28 years. Reopened in 2014 following the infatuation of many Internet users, the park had closed its doors in 1996 due to a lack of safety. Today, the guilty attractions have been replaced and the controls are more serious. And you, do you want to go?

No. 6 - Busch Gardens - Tampa, USA

jkrez3

Often seen as one of the most beautiful amusement parks in the world for the splendor of its landscapes, Busch Gardens has managed to differentiate itself from its competitors. Dedicated to the African savannah, it does not content itself with simple papier-mâché decorations: it takes you on a real safari where elephants, gorillas and cheetahs can be observed. If you prefer thrills, the park also has a number of spectacular coasters!

No. 5 - The Holy Land Experience - Orlando, United States

The Holy Land Experience

The Holy Land Experience undoubtedly wins the prize for the most dubious and destabilizing park. Like its Argentine counterpart, "Tierra Santa", it traces the life of Christ through various attractions. You will attend the Last Supper, the Flagellation but the "highlight of the show" is the "3D Crucifixion". This rather bloody show leaves the audience amazed. The main interest of this park is the important collection of ancient Bibles.

NO. 4 - Išgyvenimo Drama - Forest of Nemenciné, Lithuania

DR

Some will find it creepy, others will find it crazy, but this "park" leaves no one indifferent! Indeed, Išgyvenimo Drama proposes to relive the USSR of the 1980s. Here, everything is real: the actors have for example really been part of the Soviet army. Security exercises, gas masks and food rationing: that's the program of fun! A historical recreation to discover, if you feel like it.

No. 3 - Ferrari World - Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Marrfa

Since 2010, Abu Dhabi is home to the first theme park dedicated entirely to the famous Italian car brand. Like Abu Dhabi, it is one of the most modern parks on the planet. You will be able to enjoy the Formula 1 cars but also to ride the fastest car in the world: the Formula Rossa which reaches 240 km/h! Fasten your seatbelts!

No. 2 - Window on the World - Schenzen, China

DR

Window on the World is not known for its thrill rides but rather for its ability to take you far, far away! Indeed, here all travellers will be able to fulfil their wildest dream: to travel around the world in a single day. The park includes about 130 reproductions of the most visited monuments in the world. You can then move from the Eiffel Tower to the Taj Mahal in just a few minutes! Several restaurants with different world cuisine are also at your disposal for a total day of globe-trotting.

No. 1 - Cedar Point - Sandusky, USA

Courtesy Cedar Point
