ADAMA TRAORE, DIT « NOS »
Read moreOur is a true pro of the djembé! It takes two days to make one. The Djembefolo artist, from the Metisse group, delivered the recipe. He first buys the linqué wood in the blacksmith and develops it. Then he plunges goats'skins into water for 40 min at 50 min, the time for him to make the fences of the instrument, from iron wire. It is therefore a matter of accordement and ear. Before the final stage: the rest of djembé in the sun. We also manufacture and sell n. He also gives djembé classes and African dance courses in the botanical park near the zoo.

KANGABA
Read moreHat hat for this address. The location is not close, as located 20 min from Bamako by car, but the site really is worth a detour. Kanagaba's cultural project is important: since 2004, the association, whose head office is in La Rochelle, works in partnership with a Malian artists'association. In parallel, it participates in reforestation operations in different parts of the country, affected by the important problem of deforestation, due to the basic needs of the population, but also to the manufacture of crafts, particularly the very famous djembés in Europe. The association has recently put in place practical workshops, where you can watch djembés and various traditional objects. Here, craftsmen practise their free expression all year round. Their products are displayed at the camp shop: furniture, decoration, textiles, jewellery and other accessories. A great stroke of heart.
