Created in 2003, D.E.P.A.R.T.S. means: Developing exchanges and Rural Actions projects by Solidarity Tourism. In addition to visiting the country selected, hikes, meetings with local populations and producers are organised, encouraging travellers to raise awareness about the cultures of the communities met. The profits from travel allow for the possibility of offering micro-credits to communities, to fund local development associations: education, child protection projects, contribution to improving the living conditions of women.
What do they propose ? D.E.P.A.R.S.S. offers stays in France from 4 to 7 days abroad from 10 days to 1 months. All the programmes are built in partnership with local structures and favour an immersion in the host country through the discovery and walking in a spirit of solidarity and exchanges with the inhabitants.
Where ? Benin, Bolivia, Brazil, Cambodia, Chile, India, Morocco, Senegal, Peru, Nepal, France.
Prices and conditions. Good physical condition for walking on foot. Prices vary from € 300 to € 3 000, plus membership of 20 € per person.
