With 28 airline partners, grouped around United Airlines and Lufthansa, Star Alliance is the largest alliance of all three. It offers round world passes and parts of the world around 1,160 destinations and 181 countries.
The TDM Star Alliance rate is based on the number of miles traveled and the starting point of your trip. The Round the World Fare includes up to 29,000, 34,000 or 39,000 miles. The Round the World Special Economy Fare includes up to 26,000 miles.
When traveling Round the World, your itinerary must follow a single global direction (east or west) and must include one transatlantic crossing and one Transpacific crossing. There is also a single crossing between Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. The journey forms a loop, you leave and return to the same point.
You must include at least 3 stopovers in the Round the World Fare. The maximum number of stopovers for this tariff is 15.
The ticket is valid from 3 days to 12 months.
