A small revolution is taking place in the consumption of mineral water in France. The French company La Compagnie des Pyrénées has become the first to launch a natural mountain mineral water in cardboard packaging made from 88% vegetable matter, thanks to a partnership with Tetra Pak. Ô9 (Eau Neuve) is the name given to this mineral water drawn from the Occitanie region at an altitude of 1,332 m in the heart of the Pyrenees, and the bottles are already available in 600 Occitanie stores. Note that the offer will be extended to 2000 stores throughout France from May 2021! The water is available in still, sparkling and also soon flavoured with natural aromas, all in different formats, including 33cl cans from June 2021. France is the 5th largest consumer of plastic water in the world, so it is a real satisfaction to see recyclable and sustainable bottles on the market.
