Day 1: Montréal

Steps: Montréal

Welcome to one of the largest French-speaking cities in the world.

Multicultural, the metropolis blends its French accent with that of more than 80 other cultural communities and charms with its American-European ambiance.

Its downtown area teems with life at the foot of its mountain, while its history is rooted in its old neighborhoods near the river.

You will certainly fall under the spell of this upbeat city!

We wish you a wonderful trip in the land of lakes and rivers!

Day 2: Montreal / Lower St. Lawrence (423 km)

Steps: Kamouraska

Et voilà! You set out on your great Quebec adventure.

Your first destination is Bas St-Laurent, on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River, a region known for its picturesque villages.

In Kamouraska, according to National Geographic, you will find "the second most beautiful sunsets in the world, after Hawaii".

In addition to its rich architectural and historical heritage, the Bas St-Laurent region is renowned for the quiet beauty of its scenery.

In addition to its rich architectural and historical heritage, the Kamouraska region always amazes with the beauty and serenity of its landscapes.

Day 3: Bas St-Laurent / Parc du Bic (146 km)

Steps: Le Bic

Enjoy a relaxing morning admiring the view as you take a stroll along the St. Lawrence River.

Then you set out for Bic National Park. Located in the St. Lawrence estuary, this national park proudly showcases its capes, bays, coves, islands and mountains, which have contributed to its renown.

We strongly recommend seal watching at Cap-Caribou or Pointe-aux-Épinettes (depending on the tides).

Day 4: Parc du Bic

Steps: Le Bic

Today we invite you to discover Québec's backcountry in all its splendour.

Welcome to a region where coastal levees and hills give way to a land of forests, winding rivers and lakes, all carefully preserved over the years by the local inhabitants.

Day 5: Parc du Bic / Baie des chaleurs (278 km)

Steps: Carleton-Sur-Mer

This morning you set out for Chaleur Bay ("Baie des Chaleurs") in the southern part of Gaspesie, taking the scenic route through the Matapédia Valley.

While you are in the area, take the opportunity to climb Mount St-Joseph, silent witness to the history of the earth and the human race.

Baie des Chaleurs has a long-standing reputation for open hospitality and "bon vivants" who enjoy the good things in life. You are sure to find a warm welcome that you will be hard-pressed to forget!

Day 6: Baie des chaleurs / Percé (132 km)

Steps: Percé

In the morning, enjoy the Baie des Chaleurs and especially the Bonaventure River which is extraordinarily clear and one of the most beautiful rivers in Quebec.

Continue in the afternoon to the famous Percé Rock, sculpted by time and the sea, at the tip of the Gaspé Peninsula.

Enjoy the magnificent little village of Percé which is one of the most beautiful villages in Quebec.

Day 7: Percé

Steps: Percé

Bonaventure Island and Percé Rock National Park boast of a rich historical and natural heritage, a surprising geological past, and unusual plant and animal life including an impressive world-renowned colony of Northern Gannets.

An extension of the Appalachians into the waters of the Gulf of St. Lawrence, this rocky city has Île Bonaventure as a fortress, and the majestic Percé Rock, the tourism emblem of Québec, as a stone vessel.

On the island, the fragrance and colour of the wildflowers and the fresh sea breezes will intoxicate you.

Day 8: Percé / Parc Forillon (63 km)

Steps: Gaspé

The road trip continues to the incredible Forillon National Park, where mountain cliffs thrust brutally into the Atlantic Ocean.

Its magnificent seascapes, cliffs and mountains occupy 244 km². The presence of ten different rock formations, seabird colonies, a surprising underwater world and its broad diversity in wildlife and plant life combine to make this park unique.

We recommend a picnic lunch in Cap Bon-Ami, definitely the best place from which to admire the Forillon cliffs.

Don't miss the Grande-Grave interpretive trail which highlights the way of life of the fishermen and their families at the time of colonization.

Day 9: Parc Forillon / Parc de la Gaspésie (200 km)

Steps: Sainte-Anne-Des-Monts

After breakfast, the adventure continues in the direction of Gaspesie National Park.

The section of Route 132 between Forillon Park and Gaspesie Park is, without a doubt, one of the most spectacular drives in Quebec, if not in Canada.

This park is a veritable sea of mountains located in the heart of the Gaspé Peninsula. Its varied climates and unusual geomorphology attract a diversity of plant and animal species that are unique to Quebec.

Day 10: Gaspesie Park

Steps: Sainte-Anne-Des-Monts

Hiking is, without a doubt, the favourite activity within Gaspésie National Park.

The best trail is the one that leads to the summit of Mont Jacques-Cartier, where you will get a taste of the Far North; you may even surprise some caribou grazing at the top! Ask about the shuttle service and the discovery hike "Vivez le Grand Nord".

For families or the less athletically inclined, the Lac aux Américains trail will lead you to breathtaking picture-postcard views in less than 30 minutes.

Day 11: Parc de la Gaspésie / Tadoussac (330 km)

Steps: Tadoussac

This morning's route leads you to the coastal town of Rimouski, where you will take an unforgettable ferry ride to the north shore of the majestic St. Lawrence River!

Your destination: Tadoussac, the oldest village in Canada. Did you know that Tadoussac Bay is listed as one of the 50 most beautiful bays in the world?

Have lunch at Café Bohème bistro, conveniently located in the heart of this historic village.

Day 12: Tadoussac

Steps: Tadoussac

Make the most of your day to discover the picturesque village, take a walk on the beach and explore the surroundings.

You are on a world-class and unique whale-watching site.

You won't want to miss going on a whale-watching safari! This exciting adventure includes the services of a naturalist guide who will help you identify several species including the razorback and the beluga.

Day 13: Tadoussac / Charlevoix (144 km)

Steps: Baie-Saint-Paul

Next the adventure leads to Charlevoix, one of the most picturesque regions in Quebec. You follow a panoramic route along the majestic St. Lawrence that is said to offer the best views of the river from so close and yet so high.

In the very the heart of the Canadian Shield, the oldest rock formation on earth, Charlevoix abounds in one-of-a-kind attractions. Mountain waters cascade down the majestic Laurentians into the salty depths of the St. Lawrence River.

Don't miss your chance to take our black bear photo safari, where you will meet a real trapper and learn all about the black bear.

And for an exceptional encounter with a trapper and his bears, don't miss the opportunity to participate in a black bear photo safari.

Day 14: Charlevoix / Québec (93 km)

Steps: Québec

Today you head for the beautiful and historic Quebec City, the cradle of French culture in the Americas.

Perched on the cliffs of Cap Diamant and overlooking the St. Lawrence River, Quebec is proud to be a living museum and the only fortified city in North America.

Once you reach Quebec City, take the time to explore the city and its many historic sites. The entire old town is a UNESCO world heritage site.

Day 15: Quebec

Steps: Québec

Take the time to explore the old capital and its many historic sites. From Place Royale and Petit Champlain to Dufferin Terrace and Château Frontenac, follow the winding alleys that will lead you to hidden places where you will have the impression that you are the first to discover them.

Day 16: Québec / Montréal (250 km)

Steps: Montréal

Enjoy the last moments of your Quebec vacation, before heading to the Montreal airport for your flight home.

It's time to say "au revoir" to the land of lakes and rivers, your hearts filled with beautiful memories that will last a lifetime!
