Day 1: Tokyo Tokyo

Arrival. Quiet day to walk around the Imperial Palace. A small part of the palace is open to the public, the visit does not take much time: It is ideal for a first day. On the way back, go by Shinbashi and dine in one of the many Izakaya, these popular breweries where the employees are found in the evening to eat and drink after work.

Day 2: Tokyo Tokyo

Visit of Asakusa and covered arcades full of small shops. Small boat ride on the Sumida River. Return by Ginza, his theaters and bars.

Day 3: Outing to Mount Takeo

Steps: Tokyo

One hour and 20 minutes by train from Tokyo, the mountain is home to several Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines. A green step in the middle of the urban jungle. Back to Tokyo, dinner, karaoke and night club in Shinjuku.

Day 4: Kyoto

Steps: Kyoto

Arrival in Kyoto. Visit Nijo Castle, the Golden and Silver Pavilions, the Imperial Palace and Sanjusangendo. Count on a good day. In the evening, dinner in the beautiful traditional district of Gion.

Day 5: Nara

Steps: Kyoto, Nara

Early morning departure from Kyoto to Nara. Visit the old town and the Todai-Ji in the afternoon. Dinner in the evening at one of the restaurants in the city center.

Day 6: Nara

Steps: Kyoto, Nara

Visit of the Nara National Museum and then (after a good hot coffee and a typical Japanese snack), wandering and meditation at the Kofuku-Ji temple. Return to Kyoto by the 5pm train.

Day 7: Tokyo

Steps: Kyoto, Tokyo

Morning visit of Kiyomizu-dera temple, stroll in the typical shopping streets of Kyoto. Visit of Fushimi-inari and its countless torii (shinto gates). Return to Tokyo in the evening.

Day 8: Tokyo Tokyo

Quiet day in Shibuya, Shinjuku or Akihabara, electronics district and cosplay (play play) to make a little shopping. Plan a kabuki show in Ginza in the evening.

Day 9: Tokyo

Steps: Tokyo

Early in the morning visit of the Tsukiji fish market and then, in the extension, visit of the Odaiba district for a last trip in the Tokyo of the 20th century. Last shopping on the way back to Ueno in the maze of covered streets.
