Day 1: Relax in Negombo

Steps: Negombo

Relax on the beach in Negombo to recover from the trip.

Day 2: Discovery of wildlife

Steps: Anuradhapura, Colombo

Departure north along the coast to get to know the Catholic country. Take 5 good hours to reach Anuradhapura. On the way, visit the park of Wilpattu. It houses a wide fauna (bears, elephants, leopards...).

Day 3: Anuradhapura

Steps: Anuradhapura

Visit of Anuradhapura, one of the jewels of the Cultural Triangle with its immense dagobas. Take a day to visit the sacred city by taking your time.

Day 4: Mihintal

Steps: Anuradhapura, Mihintale, Trincomalee

Visit Mihintale, about 30 minutes drive from Anuradhapura. This amazing place dedicated to Buddhist worship offers wonderful rocky landscapes above the jungle and is well worth a 3 to 4 hour visit. Then it takes about 2 hours and a half to reach Trincomalee.

Day 5: Discovery of the North

Steps: Jaffna, Point Pedro

Visit to Jaffna or Point Pedro.

Day 6: Beating the temples

Steps: Nainativu

Visit of the temples of the island of Nainativu.

Day 7: À in Nilaveli

Steps: Nilaveli, Trincomalee, Colombo

Relax on the beach of Nilaveli, a few kilometres north of Trincomalee. There are several very pleasant hotels and there are miles of deserted beaches lined with coral reefs that will delight lovers of snorkeling.
