Day 1: Traditional Dubai centre and idleness on the beach
Dubai Museum at Fort Al Fahidi to learn about local history. Quick passage to the nearby Al Kabeer souk and crossing of the Creek by abra to the souks, Deira district and Heritage House. In the afternoon, relax on a public beach or a private beach club. In the late afternoon, shopping at the Madinat souk and dinner in one of the local restaurants, with a view of the hotel complex's wind towers and the famous illuminated Burj Al Arab.
Day 2: Dubai, a modern city
Drive to the Shindagha district for a visit to the house of Sheikh Saeed, the birthplace of the Maktoum family. Stroll along the quays along the Creek. During the hottest hours, shopping at the Mall of the Emirates with ski option or at the Dubai Mall to see the breathtaking tower up close and even climb up there. Around 7pm, head to Al Hadheerah for a beautiful dinner show in the desert hinterland. Alternatively, dine on the terrace at Souk Al Bahar, facing the musical fountains and the Burj Khalifa, which is bathed in light.
