Day 1: First steps on the Asian side
Steps: Iznik - Nicee, Bursa
Start by reaching Iznik, the ancient Nicea, nestled in the hollow of its lake. The visit of the archaeological remains and the walls is a must, just to start this seaside stay with some culture. Then join Bursa, which closes the southern end of the Marmara Sea.
Day 2: Visit to Bursa
Steps: Bergama
Enjoy the calm of the city, its parks and gardens and visit the many museum houses and mosques in the city centre. Don't miss a session in one of the traditional hammams. At the end of the day, reach Bergamo, on the shores of the Aegean Sea.
Day 3: The splendours of Bergamo
Steps: Izmir - Smyrne
Visit the archaeological site of Bergamo. The acropolis, the old theatre and all the remains will take you a good part of the day to overcome it. At the end of the day, drive along the coast to Izmir, to start the idleness side of this itinerary.
Day 4: Culture and relaxation
Smyrna, the current Izmir, is not only famous for its beaches. The city was considered to be one of the most beautiful in the ancient world, and you can discover some beautiful archeological remains there too. In the afternoon, go and relax on the island of birds(Kusadasi) where you will find many water activities to do with your family.
Day 5: The beaches of Izmir
Enjoy the many beaches around Bird Beach in the morning. Each one has a different atmosphere, but all have in common their paradisiacal side. In the afternoon, take a refreshing dip in the Dilek Nature Park, which is as deserted as the coast is crowded! Take the road to Bodrum with possible breaks in Priene or Milet.
Day 6: Halicarnassus, wonder of the world
It is unthinkable to be in the area without making a detour to visit the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, one of the seven wonders of the world, located in Bodrum. Have lunch and take a walk around town, then take your first steps on the beach and take the temperature of the water.
Day 7: Vacation atmosphere in Bodrum
Bodrum is THE seaside resort par excellence in Turkey. Take this second day to relax completely, to stroll, to laze on the beach or to offer you some sensations by practicing some water sports. To eat, there are dozens of restaurants along the beaches, and as many cafes in the evening! Let yourself go!
Day 8: Idyllic landscape
Steps: Marmaris
A few dozen kilometers only separate you from Marmaris and its more confidential beaches. Change of atmosphere compared to Bodrum, and return to more natural landscapes. At least during the day, because if you like to party, Marmaris in the evening has nothing to envy to Bodrum. So you can extend the vacation atmosphere if you wish!
Day 9: The turquoise sea
Steps: Fethiye - Telmessos, Marmaris
We finally leave the crowd of the big seaside resorts to join Fethiye, a short jump from Marmaris. The atmosphere here has remained very family oriented and much quieter than in the previous two stages. However, you will have no trouble finding hotels and restaurants for your stopover. Enjoy the beautiful colours of the Mediterranean in this part of the coast!
Day 10: End of stay in a club
Let's go to the wonderful setting of Antalya Bay. A magical setting that has seduced many clubs and resorts established here for years. We advise you to finish your stay in one of them, because the anarchic constructions of these last years have disfigured the coast a little. A club with a private beach will allow you to make the most of your relaxing stay!
