Day 1: Arrival in Seville

Steps: Séville

The historic district of Santa Cruz; theAlcazar, Reales Alcázares, a former Arab fortress turned sumptuous palace with magnificent gardens; the cathedral and Giralda, the former minaret of the Great Mosque; the Casa dos Pilatos, home of the Dukes of Medinacelli. At night, the city's many tapas bars leave you spoilt for choice.

Day 2: Seville

Steps: Séville, Ronda

The central districts and La Macarena: numerous churches, monasteries, the basilica and Calle Sierpes, the central shopping street. The banks of the Guadalquivir: torre del Oro, plaza de toros de la Maestranza, bullring, Maria Luisa Park, home to many notable buildings dating from the 1929 Exhibition, and the city's largest green space. Evening in the popular Triana district.

Day 3: Cordoba

Steps: Cordoue - Cordoba

Visit the old Moorish city: the Great Mosque (Mezquita - Catedral) and the Torre del Alimar, the Torre de la Calahorra, Moorish tower and Museum of Islam, to delve into the origins of the city's former center of knowledge; the old Judería, Jewish quarter, with the Callejón de las Flores, a tiny flower-filled cul-de-sac.

Day 4: Cordoba

Steps: Cordoue - Cordoba

TheAlcázar de los Reyes Cristianos and its well-kept gardens, the small plaza del Potro, the Palace of the Dukes of Viana and its museum; the plaza de la Corredera and the surrounding neighborhoods. In the evening, visit the city's tabernas.

Day 5: Pomegranate

Steps: Grenade - Granada

TheAlhambra, a vast complex of enchanting palaces and an architectural gem, and the gardens of the Generalife, a summer residence and a little paradise. In the evening, the Albaicín, a picturesque medina-style Arab quarter, and its sunsets from the San Nicolas viewpoint. Descend through the caldererías, artisans' streets and their peaceful teterías, tea rooms.

Day 6: Pomegranate

Steps: Jerez De La Frontera, Grenade - Granada

Cathedral, Capilla Real, Casa de los Tiros, the old Alcaicería souk and craft stores. In the evening, enjoy a meal at the Campo del Principe, followed by a pub crawl along the banks of the Darro or in the Realejo.

Day 7: Antequera

Steps: Séville, Málaga, Antequera

Discover this museum-city, with its high density of Renaissance and Baroque churches and convents, its many palaces and mansions, and its UNESCO-listed Seville or depart from Málaga after visiting the Picasso and Thyssen museums.
