Day 1: Arrival in Houston

Steps: Houston

For those arriving early in the day, take the time to relax in one of Houston's great green lungs, such as Memorial or Hermann parks. Evening in Downtown or Montrose.

Day 2: Museum District, Nasa and Seaside

Steps: Houston, Galveston, Clear Lake City

Visit to the Museum District, then late-morning departure for the Nasa Space Center, south of the city. Evening in the city, on the waterfront in Kemah or in Galveston for road lovers.

Day 3: San Antonio

Steps: San Antonio

Morning departure for San Antonio. Visit downtown, stroll along the Riverwalk, and visit the historic missions from the famousAlamo site, and along the Mission Trail.

Day 4: Discover the life of a rancher

Steps: Bandera

Spend the day on a ranch in Bandera. Horseback riding, discovery of Texas culture and, why not, your first rodeo lesson the same day or the next. Evening at a local bar with local cowboys and ranchers .

Day 5: Hill Country

Steps: Fredericksburg, Gruene

Day in the Hill Country around Fredericksburg. Visit the region's small towns and take a short hike in Enchanted Rock Park. Overnight in Gruene and an evening in Texas' oldest dancehall .

Day 6: Austin

Steps: Austin

Departure for Austin. Lunch break in Lockhart, the BBQ capital, or a shopping break in San Marcos, as you wish. Visit the Texan capital, its lively downtown districts or the more convivial East Austin or South of Congress areas. Enjoy an evening of live music in one of the many bars.

Day 7: Austin and Fort Worth

Steps: Fort Worth

Quiet morning to recover from the day before. Exploration of other neighborhoods, before taking the road (or plane) to Fort Worth. Evening in pleasant Downtown or the more touristy Stockyards district.

Day 8: Fort Worth Arts District and Stockyards

Steps: Fort Worth

Visit the Arts District's fabulous museums, including the Kimbell Art Museum and the Museum of Modern Art. Evening in Downtown or the Stockyards, depending on your choice from the previous evening.

Day 9: Dallas and its museums

Steps: Dallas

Visit Dallas museums, including the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, the Nasher Sculpture Center and the 6th Floor Museum. Spend an evening in the upscale Highland Village district, where you can observe success à la Dallas.

Day 10: Back to France

Last morning in Dallas before flying home.
