Day 1: Palau Güell and Sagrada Família

Steps: Barcelone

At the bottom of the Ramblas, you can admire a work of Gaudí's youth: the Palau Güell, inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage List. The trencadís of ceramic pieces, marble elements and glass pieces, characterizes this palace, which Gaudí built for his patron Eusebi Güell. In the afternoon, you will discover the Sagrada Família, Gaudí's major work and symbol of the city. Initiated in 1882, the work should be completed in 2030! Inside, you can walk or lift up to the towers and enjoy a panoramic view of the entire city.

Day 2: Casa Batlló and Pedrera

Steps: Barcelone

We start the day on the Passeig de Gràcia with a visit to Casa Batlló. The facade is undoubtedly the most imaginative element of the place, between the ground floor stone and the mosaic of the upper floors, the bony elements of the balconies and windows, and the roof that recalls the arched back of a dragon. At the top of the Passeig de Gràcia, you will arrive at Casa Milà, known as La Pedrera. Completed in 1910, the Pedrera was not to everyone's taste and its unique appearance caused many jokes and criticisms. However, with this building, Gaudí has gone beyond the field of architecture by adopting a vision close to sculpture. The curved volumes of its façade are reminiscent of a cliff by the sea.
