Day 1: Visit of Santiago
Steps: Santiago De Chile
Landing in Santiago de Chile. Head towards the centre of the capital to discover the presidential palace, "La Moneda", a symbol of the country's turbulent political past. Walk through the popular "Paseo Ahumada" and take a meal break at the central market for an authentic introduction to Chilean cuisine.
Day 2: Bicycles and vineyards in the Maipo Valley
Santiago de Chile. Head south to reach the wine-growing lands of the Maipo Valley. Here, you can cycle through the vineyards and enjoy the delicious carmenere, a grape variety that has greatly contributed to the international reputation of Chilean wine... not to mention, of course, other classics such as Cabernet Sauvignon and local Syrah. After this busy day, come back to Santiago.
Day 3: Trip to Atacama
Steps: Calama, San Pedro De Atacama, Valle De La Luna
Santiago de Chile. Fly to Calama and head to San Pedro de Atacama, a small town lost in the middle of the driest desert in the world. 13 kilometres from this pretty village, discover the valley of the Moon, in which a bike ride will allow you to discover the lunar landscapes in the best way.
Day 4: The Salar of Atacama
Steps: San Pedro De Atacama
San Pedro d'Atacama. Meet curious desert inhabitants: Chilean flamingos. The salt deserts that serve as their home are a postcard setting that will easily punctuate a morning. In the afternoon, head for the Miscanti and Meñique lagoons, at an altitude of 4,500 metres, for other postcards in which blue contrasts with the incredible range of colours of the Altiplano.
Day 5: The Geysers of El Tatio
Steps: San Pedro De Atacama, Geysers Du Tatio
San Pedro d'Atacama. The reputation of the El Tatio Geysers is fully justified by their power and the magnificent background of the Altiplano mountains. On the way, take the opportunity to admire the Tocopurri and Sairecabur volcanoes before an evening of rest in San Pedro.
Day 6: Journey to Puerto Varas
Steps: Osorno, Puerto Varas, Frutillar, Puerto Montt, Calama, San Pedro De Atacama
San Pedro d'Atacama. Take the road to Calama and take off to the south centre of the country. From Puerto Montt, head to Puerto Varas, a beautiful city with the undeniable German colonial heritage and the breathtaking view of the Osorno volcano. A passage by the nearby town Frutillar, if only to taste a local "Kuchen", is worth it.
Day 7: Rafting on the Petrohue River
Steps: Parque Nacional Vicente Pérez Rosales, Osorno, Puerto Varas
Puerto Varas. Head towards the Osorno volcano and enter the Vicente Perez Rosales National Park, which includes the famous Petrohue Falls. Near the falls, indulge in the joys of rafting with certified guides. The streams at the foot of the Osorno volcano will give you a good adrenaline rush and will provide you with an unforgettable introduction to the lake region.
Day 8: Trekking "Paso de la Desolación"
Steps: Parque Nacional Vicente Pérez Rosales, Osorno, Puerto Varas
Puerto Varas. After a walk through the viewpoint of Petrohue Falls, start the hike on the flank of Osorno volcano. The "Paso de la Desolación" is a path that offers you one of the best views of Lake Todos Los Santos, whose bluish colour extends at the foot of three gigantic Andean volcanoes
Day 9: Travel to the Great South
Steps: Puerto Varas, Puerto Montt, Puerto Natales, Parque Nacional Torres Del Paine
Puerto Varas. From Puerto Montt, fly to the Magallanes region (Magellan). Rendez-vous in Puerto Natales, a charming port city on the banks of the fjord and the starting point for adventurers exploring Torres Del Paine National Park. In the afternoon, hike Mount Dorotea, a 400-metre mountain above Puerto Natales that offers - in just 3 hours - an incredible view of the region's fjords and glaciers.
Day 10: Navigation to Grey Glacier
Steps: Parque Nacional Torres Del Paine, Puerto Natales
Puerto Natales. Early in the morning, head to the eastern part of Torres Del Paine National Park. Start the majestic navigation to the Grey Glacier, which will take you about 30 metres from one of Chile's most famous glaciers. You will also see Mount Paine Grande, the highest mountain in the park, which rises to 3,050 metres. Return to Puerto Natales for a well-deserved rest.

Day 11: Trekking "Base Torres"
Steps: Puerto Natales
Puerto Natales. Enter the Torres del Paine National Park via "Laguna Amarga" and start the "Base Torres" trekking (tower base viewpoint) from the Las Torres area. Enter the Ascencio Valley and cross the silent forest before starting the final ascent. The last few metres - rather demanding - are well worth it, with an unbeatable view of the granite peaks that give the park its name. After these 22 kilometers of trekking, on the way to Puerto Natales for a last night in Patagonia.
Day 12: Bye bye Patagonia!
Steps: Puerto Natales
Puerto Natales. Now it is time to leave the wilderness of these southern lands and return home. Bye bye bye Patagonia, bye bye Chile!
