Stay : History and charm in Lamu
Lamu, located on the north coast, is 1h15 by plane from Nairobi. Listed as a Unesco heritage site, it is the cradle of Swahili culture. You can dream at the foot of the dunes, explore the area on board adhow, a triangular sailboat, and pass the hours in the narrow streets of the old town. We let ourselves be carried by the unique atmosphere of Lamu

Day 2: Village of Shela and Takwa ruins
Steps: Shela, Île De Manda
At low tide, a path along the channel leads in 45 minutes by foot to the peaceful village of Shela. Don't miss to refresh your taste buds with an excellent lime or passion fruit juice at Stop Over (the best!). Beyond Shela, facing the ocean, there is a beach several kilometres long, ideal for walking and swimming. To be combined with a half day on the island of Manda, located just opposite, famous for its ruins and baobabs. At the very least, the dhow ride, just before sunset, is an unforgettable experience.
Day 3: Dhow excursion to Manda Toto Island
Steps: Île De Manda
Mando toto (the "little Manda") is located just behind the island of Manda. A day trip takes you through the mangroves to this small island of unique wild beauty. Upon arrival, a long, completely deserted beach is available to you. Relax while your boat captain prepares lunch, before spending the afternoon exploring the seabed, one of the most beautiful on the Kenyan coast. Magic
