Day 1: Arrival in Narsaq

Steps: Narsarsuaq, Narsaq

Arrival at Narsarsuaq via Copenhagen (4 h 15 flight) or Reykjavik (2 hours flight). Transfer by boat to Narsaq. This village is ideally located at the exit of Sermilik Fjord where many icebergs from the Eqalorutsit Glacier are vêlés, considered one of the largest importers of icebergs in Southern Greenland. Night in Narsaq.

Day 2: Cape on Tugtutoq Island

Steps: Ilulissat

Start of the kayak circuit. Last preparations and direction the island of Tugtutoq, with its very cut coasts, its waterfalls and striking contrasts between the colors of the tundra and the sea.

Day 3: Qaleraliq Fiord

Steps: Kanger Lussuaq

This circuit will take you to the Qaleraliq fjord that you're walking through over the days, with observation of the ice cap that comes into the sea at this place, that covers it with icebergs.

Day 4: Glacier Hike

Steps: Kanger Lussuaq

Possible hikes around the camps as well as on the glacier at the foot of Nunatak, if conditions permit. This passage is the gateway to all shipments across the ice cap, hiking and views are magnificent.

Day 5: Night in open air

We continue hiking the fjords and if conditions are good, you may have the chance to sleep at the foot of the nunatak (mountain) or the ice. Magical experience.

Day 6: Observation of wildlife

Open your eyes, you can certainly watch reindeer grazing in the region.

Day 7: Dazzling Natural Phenomena

Look at the sky to try to see the lights on the dark night evenings.

Day 8: Hunting and fishing

During the journey, go to fishing (trout, cod, salmon) and pick up (vintages and bilberries in August) to prepare your evening meal.

Day 9: Return to Narsaq

Steps: Narsaq

Enjoy a visit to the city whose name means "the plain" with the fish market, the harbor, the museum with exhibits and Viking remains. Hiking on Mount Qaqqarsuaq offers a wonderful view of the mountains around. Night in Narsaq.

Day 10:

Steps: Narsarsuaq, Qassiarsuk, Narsaq

Safety day in case of weather problems. If the weather is tiresome during the journey, this day will allow to imbue the atmosphere of nearby Greenland farms including Ipiutaq in the vicinity of Narsaq managed by a Franco-Greenland couple or Inneruulalik in Qassiarsuk. Last night on the spot before taking your flight back to Narsarsuaq airport.
