Detail of the stay : 2 or 3 days hiking around Wimereux - 2 days
Day 1: Wimereux and the Denacre valley
Direction the Wimille quay and the bridge, to follow the Denacre valley path. You will first follow a secured path parallel to the road before entering the Denacre valley. More than ten kilometers await you for this loop which will make you discover an old estaminet and its famous waterfall. Come back by the coastline and take the opportunity to walk in the city center. Finish the day with a restaurant on the seaside or a French fry to take away.
Day 2: Between dunes, forest and cliffs
Steps: Ambleteuse, Escalles, Wimereux, Wissant
Leave on the sea side by taking the path of the bay of Saint-Jean, which makes you walk in the dunes up to the fort ofAmbleteuse, then return partly by the beach (be careful with the tide!). You will have to walk to the Pointe aux Oies parking lot and then take the path that goes into the dunes and will lead you to a pine forest worthy of the French Riviera! You will finally discover the famous Slack up to the fort. This hike will take you half a day, the ideal being to leave around 9 or 10 am to be able to have a picnic at the arrival at the fort of Ambleteuse before leaving.
You can either leave in the afternoon or extend your trip for another day to discover the beauty of Cap Blanc-Nez and Cap Gris-Nez. Take the car or, better, the bus! During the high season, the bus can take you from Wimereux to Cap Blanc-Nez, Cap Gris-Nez or the very charming Wissant. From there, you can hike along the local paths and discover breathtaking landscapes.
