The challenge for many concert halls is to offer quality programming and to maintain a link between the artist and the audience during performances. Le Fil has met this challenge with flying colours! For several years now, singers and groups of many styles have come to make its walls vibrate. Rap, electro, French variety, rock'n roll, metal, reggae... The least we can say is that Le Fil practises eclecticism. With a capacity of 1,200 spectators in the main hall and 300 in the club area, the size is ideal and even hosts festivals. Entirely dedicated to creation and unknown, Comedy has now been offering nationally and internationally renowned live shows for over 60 years. Involving promising talented talent and renowned artists, Comedy is committed to offering its audience as varied a programming as possible. It has taken place in the creative neighborhood Manufacture/Plaine Achille, in a building with sober and simple architecture valuing the existing. With two rooms, Comedy is aimed at all audiences with programming to families and children. It develops a touring policy in some neighborhoods of Stéphanois and in the countryside.

The Théâtre des Pénitents is located in the city centre, on the site of the former Chapelle des Pénitents. Renovated in 2003, this 230-seat theatre, classified as a Historic Monument, hosts many shows with a focus on music, theatre and circus arts. It is also a space of expression for the city's many cultural associations. More recently, the Théâtre des Pénitents has obtained regional recognition with the Scène Rhône-Alpes label. Special mention: the programming is really great and regularly makes a good pick. The management has no equal in finding emerging artists!

The Gaga Jazz association now has its own venue for all kinds of jazz. The venue occupies the space of the former Comédie restaurant, and welcomes top names from France and abroad. Several concerts a week can be booked, programmed by a team of improvisational music lovers. The venue regularly updates its social networks. Stay tuned for details of scheduled evenings. In Saint-Galmier, the KFT, nestled in a 16th century cloister whose terrace overlooks the listed arcades, is a renowned café-theatre. Not only can you enjoy delicious home-made tapas, accompanied by a glass of champagne in the open-air formula, but you can also enjoy a wide variety of shows. The eclectic programme includes magic, theatre of course, humour and improvisation. On the programme this year are headliners Christophe Alévêque in January, Gil Alma and Benoît Joubert in February and Anne Roumanov in May. The Chaplin cinema in Rive-de-Gier is equipped with 265 seats, including a balcony accessible to disabled guests. The second room of 98 seats is air conditioned but not accessible to disabled guests. To see blockbusters, this rather family cinema is more affordable than the Saint Etienne multiplexes. Programs favor great movies. A good reason not to deprive and spend a very good time in a dark room with family or friends. Children's films are provided during school holidays.

Built by the renowned architect Sir Norman Foster, the Zenith of Saint-Etienne is one of the largest of its kind in terms of capacity in the region. The building can accommodate up to 7,200 spectators, including 5,400 seated. Every year, this establishment organises around sixty events: concerts and musicals, comedy, sports events, fashion shows... The programming is of quality, and many French and international artists come here to perform. The large car parks nearby are completely free and allow visitors to avoid any parking problems in advance!

Installed for years in the town of Unieux, the Cinéma Théâtre QuarTo has nothing to envy its competitors in the metropolis! Every day, the establishment shows the latest films but also hosts plays, concerts and other cultural events. Its unique hall combines comfort and quality and is fully equipped, including 3D technology (glasses can be rented at the entrance). The free car park right in front of the hotel guarantees easy access and prices have always been very affordable. Born of a dynamic association, the cinema Le Family is very appreciated for its conviviality. It is the first cinema in the Loire Valley to integrate hybrid sound reproduction technology: Dolby Atmos, for a guaranteed realistic effect. Espace Boris-Vian, located in the heart of Saint-Étienne since 1980, is a socio-cultural center managed by an association under the law of 1901. Occupying 1,000^m2 of municipal premises, it receives financial support from the CAF, local authorities, the French government and foundations. Offering a wide range of services, workshops and facilities for families, from infants to the elderly, the Espace Boris-Vian is a place where everyone is welcome to listen, help and support. It also works to promote professional integration, artistic education and the fight against discrimination.

Located on the hill of Villeboeuf, the Opéra de Saint-Etienne is an establishment whose primary vocation is to offer a lyrical season. Rare Opera in France to have its own set design and costume design workshops, it produces and co-produces new operas every season. The Opera also fulfils a vital mission for young audiences, offering a dedicated, rich and varied season, and also gives access to a programme for all audiences with symphonic and chamber music concerts, piano recitals, dance performances.... Bought in 2020 and then refurbished, the Megarama Jean Jaurès (formerly the Alhambra) remains the cinema of Saint-Etienne to see the latest blockbusters as well as most new releases. Previews and live or recorded broadcasts of cultural and musical events are also on the programme. Note that inside, there are always 10 comfortable and modern theatres, including 3 premium theatres called "Horizon" offering more comfort. Opened in 2015, Château du Rozier has become a major player on the Forez plain's cultural scene. Improvisation, performance, concerts, shows of all kinds: the venue is dedicated to live entertainment and offers an eclectic, high-quality cultural offering. After the show, we meet in the château bar to discuss the play, over a terrine and a local beer. In addition to its programming, the Château du Rozier organizes shows for school audiences and is also an artists' residency.

The Cinéma Espace Renoir is a community cinema located in downtown Roanne. With its two screens, it offers a cutting-edge, commercial-free program in the original version with subtitles. Classified as an Art et Essai cinema, it benefits from three CNC labels: Jeune Public, Patrimoine et Répertoire, and Recherche et Découverte. The cinema also has a documentation center for those wishing to deepen their knowledge of cinema.

In July 2020, the Megarama group bought the Camion Rouge. But apart from the name, not much has changed in this cinema which is now called the Megarama Chavanelle.
