Built on a rocky outcrop, on the edge of the Loire Gorges, the Château de la Roche has defied the vagaries of time and weather since the 13th century. Managed by the community of communes of the Pays entre Loire et Rhône, theatrical guided tours in an inclusive atmosphere are organized. The monument also houses two escape games served by an elevator. Two rooms for two atmospheres: "Submergence alert", where the objective is to escape from the rising Loire River and avoid drowning, then "Are you there? "where you have to free the spirit that haunts the castle.

Opened in May 2021, this establishment offers a true gustatory journey. Here, everything is homemade and the menu adapts to the seasons. In this paradise of good taste, where pastries, sandwiches and cakes make our taste buds salivate just by looking at them, the products are local. The decoration in natural tones blends perfectly with the theme of this tea room. In other words, it is an establishment as we like them which allows to associate a tasty meal and a little rest in the heart of downtown. Authentique also does take-away sales.

The challenge for many concert halls is to offer quality programming and to maintain a link between the artist and the audience during performances. Le Fil has met this challenge with flying colours! For several years now, singers and groups of many styles have come to make its walls vibrate. Rap, electro, French variety, rock'n roll, metal, reggae... The least we can say is that Le Fil practises eclecticism. With a capacity of 1,200 spectators in the main hall and 300 in the club area, the size is ideal and even hosts festivals. Friendly atmosphere and affordable rates, the perfect combo for memorable evenings!

Escape Game 1909 has 5 rooms with different universes: prisoners, sabotage, wanted, paranoia, the collector of dolls. You will have to use your sense of observation, logic and intuition to solve the riddles and get out of the room in an hour or less. You will be charmed! Garance Gamart offers formulas adapted to your wishes: bachelor or bachelorette parties, birthdays... all types of private events can take place in the premises. A 100 m² room is even available for seminars.

New concept in Roanne, restaurant, dinner and show, ideal alone, among friends or groups. Come and discover the unique universe of the Botté Chat or spend a afternoon and/or an evening in the sign of good humour, laughter and dance. On Thursday evening you can immerse yourself in a concept world thanks to the theme nights of the Botté chat. On Friday and Saturday evening discover a good meal prepared by the chef, the atmosphere and the madness of the evening shows, good guaranteed moments.

Pile ou Face opened its doors in January 2024. Around 200 board games are on offer, for all ages and for children aged 2 and over: cooperative games, atmospheric games, investigative games, as well as classics such as Scrabble and card games. There's also a store where you can buy the games you've discovered on site. Pile ou Face also has a bar serving coffee, beer, wine and spirits. For a snack, you can opt for cakes, homemade spreads and charcuterie and cheese boards.

The Counter Zanzibar is a little the island to the mysteries of the childhood of Geraldine Veyret. A cave with treasures that never contain the same secrets. There are always new features! The last project is the manufacture of chocolate and spreads tablets. For this, Geraldine is following training at the higher national pastry school. In the meantime, it is always a pleasure to find the jars of nougats, the traditional niniches (which it alone proposes in Rhône-Alpes!), the spice bottles… Geraldine is inexhaustible on the products it uncovers in small artisans. We love Zanzibar for its famous dishes (Metis and rum, purple…), for its famous ice creams with incomparable taste, its many teas, cafes and infusions, its little aperitifs and unknown wines, its Confitures jams, and especially for the talent and friendliness of the boss! The place is not just a fine grocery store, it's also a wonderful tea lounge where you can calmly taste a good gingerbread or a little orange cake and an exhibition room where the artists give it to heart. Entirely dedicated to creation and unknown, Comedy has now been offering nationally and internationally renowned live shows for over 60 years. Involving promising talented talent and renowned artists, Comedy is committed to offering its audience as varied a programming as possible. It has taken place in the creative neighborhood Manufacture/Plaine Achille, in a building with sober and simple architecture valuing the existing. With two rooms, Comedy is aimed at all audiences with programming to families and children. It develops a touring policy in some neighborhoods of Stéphanois and in the countryside.

If you pass by Louis Braille Street, you may be attracted by the delicious smell of pancakes. In a very pleasant calm, do not hesitate to enjoy a good local fruit juice. The Théâtre des Pénitents is located in the city centre, on the site of the former Chapelle des Pénitents. Renovated in 2003, this 230-seat theatre, classified as a Historic Monument, hosts many shows with a focus on music, theatre and circus arts. It is also a space of expression for the city's many cultural associations. More recently, the Théâtre des Pénitents has obtained regional recognition with the Scène Rhône-Alpes label. Special mention: the programming is really great and regularly makes a good pick. The management has no equal in finding emerging artists!

Elixir Bar Pub welcomes you with a smile and sympathy in a retro atmosphere with a touch of modernity. This warm place is ideal for sipping beer and other drinks with friends. Highly dynamic and always full of ideas, the manager organizes a wide range of activities on the premises, from knitting classes to chess lessons, for young and old alike.

Barathi is a colorful cocktail bar that will take you on vacation for an evening, thanks to its tropical decor and Indian and Reunionese specialties. An added bonus is the creation of cocktails using fresh fruit. Our favorite is the "Pyaar", a floral cocktail made with vodka, strawberry, lychee and rose syrup. On the menu, you'll also find smoothies, homemade lemonade, and even wine and spirits, all accompanied by delicious tapas!

The success of the Beer Garden is such that it is often difficult to find a place on the weekends, but who cares, you can help yourself by holding your glass in your hand! Here, all the beers offered are 100% craft beers and local is privileged: IPA, fruit beers, sour beer... there is no lack of choice! And if you don't come especially for the beer, you'll definitely come back for the delicious home-made dishes. You can enjoy some of the bistro-style proposals, between carbonnade, burger or even magret, with French fries as a must!

The Gaga Jazz association now has its own venue for all kinds of jazz. The venue occupies the space of the former Comédie restaurant, and welcomes top names from France and abroad. Several concerts a week can be booked, programmed by a team of improvisational music lovers. The venue regularly updates its social networks. Stay tuned for details of scheduled evenings. Around 130 seats in this intimate venue, which plays on proximity with the artists.

In Saint-Galmier, the KFT, nestled in a 16th century cloister whose terrace overlooks the listed arcades, is a renowned café-theatre. Not only can you enjoy delicious home-made tapas, accompanied by a glass of champagne in the open-air formula, but you can also enjoy a wide variety of shows. The eclectic programme includes magic, theatre of course, humour and improvisation. On the programme this year are headliners Christophe Alévêque in January, Gil Alma and Benoît Joubert in February and Anne Roumanov in May.
