The most important one is the one on the Place des Clercs on Saturday morning and all of them already have a Provencal feel. Come early in the morning to feel the pulse of the city. You will find fruits and vegetables from the region, peach platters from the Rhone valley in summer, everything to make your summer ratatouille and jams, olives, cheeses from small producers, honeys and charcuterie. Around the square, several terraces for a coffee or an aperitif, or even lunch.

Read moreNyons is an urban center in the heart of an agricultural and tourist region, but it's also a crossroads for trade, and it's only natural that markets have developed here. On Thursday mornings, the town's squares and main streets, closed to cars, are filled with hawkers and local producers unpacking their wares. The food market is located in the main square. In summer, a Provencal market is held on Sundays. The big Alicoque market (new oil festival) takes place on the first weekend in February.
