It's an institution in Abu Dhabi. After 25 years in business, they've just given it a complete makeover. The decor is that of an Irish tavern with all the right equipment: TV screens to watch the matches, darts, loud noise in the background, customers leaving the office for a pre-party by the pool. On the menu, we find all the sliders of a self-respecting pub. It's always busy, the food is good, the atmosphere is relaxed, the welcome is warm: all the elements for a good evening in the centre of Abu Dhabi.

If you visit Abu Dhabi during Ramadan month, we recommend you stop in one of the chicha tents erected around the beaches.

Located in the Al Aïn Oasis and Palace Museum area, this is a nice place to have a meal or a coffee in the atrium, within the Radisson Hotel. Although it does not have an outdoor terrace, the place is bathed in light. This cafeteria serves Starbucks drinks, freshly squeezed fruit juices and delicious pastries, as well as a few quick dishes such as hearty salads, burgers, etc. The bread is also homemade. A great way to cool down before heading out to discover the garden city.

Located on the pretty Al Bandar marina, just across from Yas Island, the Ornina lounge bar looks like it's just sitting on the water's edge. Its bizarre wooden parallelepiped shape is noticeable from afar. From Ornina's cozy terrace, you can catch the last rays of sunlight of the day while sipping one of the many house cocktails. For a snack, you can treat yourself to delicious tapas at the crossroads of the Mediterranean and the Orient. Various events are organized throughout the week... In particular the Ladies night.

Stratos, the capital's only revolving restaurant and lounge bar, is located on the 26th floor of the very chic Royal Meridien. Surrounded by glass windows, so that you don't miss a single crumb of the 360° view over the city, the place is a real eye-catcher. It is the perfect address to come and try a high tea in the afternoon or at sunset, or to have a drink at the end of the evening and watch Abu Dhabi sparkle

This Irish tavern is located in the Al Raha Beach Hotel. The first McGettigan pub opened in Dublin in 1960. And in Abu Dhabi it has the winning formula: affordable drinks, a relaxed atmosphere, quality live music, broadcasting of major sporting events, and attentive staff. Atop the Crowne Plaza Hotel, an eagle's nest margarita den around the aerial pool. Away from the car rumors, these luminous towers set a "Lynchian" scene. We are at the controls of the jet. One goes there especially to sip a cocktail and to curl up in the arms of the sofas and armchairs that border the pool. As for the clientele, it is the Abudhabi youth who like to spend the evenings there while smoking a shisha. Small menu with some international influenced snacks. DJ at the helm almost every night.

Here, in the heart of the Hilton Hotel, is one of our favorite shelters in town, in this immense garden bordered by a swimming pool! But only when you manage to grab a free couch to drink a bucket at the time of the green ray or later under the stars, won over by the welcome coolness of the large pool nearby. It's an all options bar that offers cocktails, Lebanese snacks or lamb chops and the possibility to smoke hookahs as well. A real moment of happiness after trotting in this so large city!

It's right next to the Qattara palm grove that you can find this café. It can be reached on foot either by crossing the oasis or by car around it. An ideal break to enjoy the local life. An orchestra enlivens the evenings in the sweet smoke of the hookahs, the sounds of lively conversations and the exclamations of the electronic poker players. You can enjoy teas, coffees, lemonades and non-alcoholic cocktails with some Lebanese pastries in the air-conditioning or on the terrace. On game nights, we go down the giant screen.

Based on white rum, curaçao and lime, the clever cocktail invented in 1944 near San Francisco by Victor Bergeron is pronounced "meille-teille", meaning "everything's fine" in Tahitian. Far from Gauguinian horizons, a shot of exotic languor to be enjoyed at the counter of Trader Vic's bar. Floral shirt to match. A second glass will put the paternity dispute over this famous mix into perspective, since Don the Beachcomber claimed to have perfected it as early as 1933 in his Polynesian Hollywood eatery.

A must-see address in the Emirati capital, Ray's Bar is located on the ^62nd floor of the Conrad at Etihad Towers, and boasts sumptuous views of the Abu Dhabi skyline and the Arabian Gulf. The elegant monochrome decor is discreet and leaves room for the view. A team of talented bartenders are on hand behind the bar; they're friendly and always open to discussion, and if you can't find what you're looking for in the long list of drinks (ten pages long, after all), they'll concoct a made-to-measure cocktail for you.

In the basement of the Rotana hotel, a few steps away from Fort Jahili, dive into the heart of one of the most stylish sports bars in the area. Very well decorated with a beautiful and bright bar, a large pool table, a table soccer and large screens to watch the sports competitions. On the menu, a delicious snack menu with everything from wagyu burgers to nachos, fries and more! And... even a few dishes for vegan fans. Selected clientele, and a great atmosphere especially on Fridays and Saturdays.

It is in the heart of this small shopping center, not far from the mangroves that this superb café is located. A trendy and very decorative universe, with the feeling of being in a Zen attitude case, so much so that you don't know where to sit. Perfect for taking a break, teleworking outside your hotel room. And then there are the wonderful coffees, selected, which turn each cup into a journey. The pastries are delicious as is the selection of salads and sandwiches. Several vegan options.

To access the Emirates, in a chic and hushed decor, going to the lobby café is an excellent way. If you go in the morning, you can choose between the camelccino, a cappuccino made with camel milk, and the very chic café au lait with 24-carat gold petals. Each coffee is served with succulent dates. In the afternoon you can go forafternoon tea with small sandwiches and traditional scones, all to the sound of the harp or the violin. A wonderful way to experience the palace life at least once. Reservations are recommended.
