The mountains, their wide, snow-covered spaces, their freedom... and their music, which naturally seems to be jazz at altitude. The festival is set to celebrate its ^18th edition in 2024, welcoming new artists for ten days at the very end of January. Around fifteen major dates, twenty Jazz Bars and twenty off-piste Jazz events throughout the Briançonnais region, from Serre-Chevalier to Montgenèvre on the snow-covered heights. Internationally renowned artists perform under the stars.

Each year, the High Alps celebrate hiking through the Departmental committee on hiking and in partnership with a different association. Itineraries are offered throughout the weekend, including famous ascents. The programme, the discovery of unknown countries, trails accessible to the greatest number, even people with reduced mobility, and walks for all levels.

Spending in summer is good; spending the whole year is much better! Do you miss inspiration and motivation in the winter? No problem, we are here to give you some tracks! And that's the case, because here's two raquette trails in Guillestrois. The first starts at the Col de Var and evolves on a trail often traced. After two short hours of walking, you will reach the hut of the Écuelle at 2227 meters. From this point, a trail allows you to go down to the Napoleon hut, where the second circuit begins. It will take you in two kilometers to the Catch cabin, at 2170 meters altitude. It is regularly traced and is oriented south. If you have a little time, why don't you get to the two courses?

And now the mountain is rolling out its big white carpet for you... The resort of Les Orres, located between 1550 and 2720 meters of altitude, has a vast Nordic area with five marked trails for snowshoes and an itinerary for ski touring, marked and secured. With free access, the resort will allow you to take advantage of the panoramic views of the Serre-Ponçon valley and its bleached larch trees at a lower cost (just count on renting equipment if you don't have it). In short, a perfect setting to keep on exercising, even in winter!

From Merlette, this ATV circuit is ideal for a friendly walk. At about 1 450 metres above sea level, you are on a secure secondary road along the Drac. So, why not take advantage of this pleasant setting to stop this and there, soak your feet or picnic a balanced snack? In all, take a small hour to finish the loop: this is a sufficient daily expenditure! You only need to repeat the following days…

Mountain landforms alternate with valleys and plains, offering the opportunity to enjoy the landscape without sweating blood and water. The walk is on wide slopes in the Channe valley. At the departure of the Auberge des Rastels, in Savournon, the route leads you to discover the surroundings of the village, always in rural surroundings and a peaceful atmosphere.

We've left for a walk! At the beginning of Ventavon, this route leads to the High Bergerie of Crigne, at 1100 meters above sea level. Without being too technical or difficult, the VTT mountain bike loop offers a wide range of landscapes, landscapes and inclinations in just 12 kilometres. A renowned botanist, but also a doctor, this character born in Noyer in 1745 was the author of the History of plants in the Dauphiné, before obtaining the Botanical Chair of the School of medicine in Strasbourg in 1805. But let us move on to history; These 3,6 kilometres are also and above all the opportunity to learn more about the different species of trees, shrubs, plants and flowers of the region and the village.

It's a magic foot race on snow! This trail is a nature race on snow-capped but practicable pedestrian paths without snowshoes. On July 2nd, Briançon will host the 13 ^th edition of its Night Trek, a friendly walk on the streets of the city, on a flat, easy and secure circuit - the road will be closed to traffic. Good News for Budding Runners: in addition to the 5 km main, several children's races will be invited to the program. With family or friends, dare sport in competition! Perfect for small budgets, the event is also entirely free; more excuses!
