This environmental organisation proposes to travellers, large consumers of water bottles, to replenish water without waste: at a lower cost (count 10 Rs/litre), each can complete its gourd or bottle with purified water. Ecological laundry service (60 Rs/kg). Also sells good jams and other local products from organic farming (apricot juice, cereals, cakes). Finally, the site is friendly and has a small, playful library.

A nice little café located on the^first floor of a building that is a bit difficult to find. Excellent espresso, homemade cakes , pleasant atmosphere. You can also eat quite decent meals (pizzas, burgers, momos, sizzlers, sandwiches...). The room is really nice with its wooden furniture, its old photos of Leh hanging on the walls and its small ladakhi space to leaf through the numerous books present there. Moreover you will do a good deed, the profits are given to the NGO Ladakh Heart Foundation.
