Located on the Mall, a restaurant that enjoys enormous popularity with tourists. The setting is modern and pleasant. And with good reason: the food is very good, the dishes are hearty and the service is fast. Success stories include mutton momos and Chinese chicken recipes. Dishes are made with organic ingredients, but may sometimes contain MSG (monosodium glutamate), so don't hesitate to specify if you don't want it on your plate. A beer or wine can be served with your meal.

Kwality is located near the Mall Road Shopping Market. It lacks a touch of decoration, but the place is still comfortable with its booths and armchairs. The place is well kept. The staff is friendly, which makes up for it. The food is good and the choice is vast: burgers, pizzas, sizzlers, but also good traditional Indian cuisine. At the end of the meal they will even bring you a bowl of hot lemon water to wash your hands! This unpretentious address is one of the best options in Dalhousie.

The restaurant Kalimpong is a small family establishment not to be missed! Small room, few tables, we are a little tight but there is a comforting human warmth. Smiling reception and fast service. The menu is limited, which is usually a good sign. It offers Tibetan specialties made with fresh products: vegetarian momos, mutton, chicken or pork, various noodles, thukpas, thentuk, chili pork (excellent chili pork)... Everything is delicious! A warmly recommended address.

This cozy two-story establishment is located just off the Manali traffic circle, along the Mall. The setting is modern and warm, with lots of woodwork. The menu offers international specialties, from Thai Pad kra pao to Indonesian Nasi goreng , a delicious lamb burger and Manali's specialty, trout. The dishes are tasty. One drawback however: the portions are not very copious... Friendly service.

A cosy place for breakfast. You can choose to sit on cushions in the room on the second floor, at a table or out in the sun on the terrace. The place smells of fresh coffee and freshly baked pastries. Savoury and sweet snacks (salads, quiches, cakes, etc.) and also excellent breakfasts on offer, fresh fruit juices, vegan vegetarian recipes, gluten-free... And, best of all, homemade croissants and pains au chocolat! Warmly recommended.

One of the best Tibetan restaurants in the city; the vegetable and cheese kothay is great! It is frequented by monks, locals and volunteers from NGOs working in McLeod Ganj. An interesting initiative: you can fill your empty water bottle for 5 Rs and thus reduce the impact of plastic bottles on the environment. This family-run establishment, which has been open for years, also offers decent rooms at affordable prices.

This restaurant, near the bridge, has a beautiful terrace overlooking the Manalsu River. A bakery offers breads, cakes and other home-made delicacies that make it the ideal place for breakfast. For lunch or dinner, you will have the choice between Indian specialties, continental, momo, pizzas and other burgers. The terrace is very pleasant, especially when it is not too cold! Friendly service.

This restaurant, all brick and wood, is very cozy. The walls are covered with beautiful pictures of India, and the music, mainly from the seventies, is soft. You can choose to dine inside or in the garden. Quality food, sandwiches, pizzas, burgers, a choice of fresh fruit juices, real espresso... you will be spoilt for choice. The place regularly organizes concerts with quality musicians, which is rare enough to be mentioned.

Close to the fire station, this small café on the second floor run by the friendly Mohan is worth the trip. The place, simple and pleasant, proposes a rich menu. On the menu: soups, wraps, sandwiches, quiches but also Indian dishes, noodles, pasta, etc. We recommend the kathi rolls, excellent and copious. Also pastries, tea and a good coffee from the percolator. Warm welcome, view of the City Hall. This place is perfect to start the day, for lunch or for a gourmet break.

Very close to the main square, this restaurant has a pleasant and elegant setting appreciated by all: locals, Indian and foreign travelers, international volunteer groups... The menu is quite extensive and offers the inevitable Tibetan specialties (momos, thukpas, mutton shabaklays, tingmo, etc.), North Indian dishes and some Western recipes. Nothing very stunning but the food is correct and the portions are copious. The service is prompt and friendly. Friendly and sometimes noisy atmosphere.

Excellent café-restaurant, whose room looks like a tunnel, serving Mediterranean, Mexican and many other delicious dishes. Fish, chicken, pasta, pizza... it's quite expensive but it's good. If you just want to have a gourmet break, enter the bubble and let yourself be tempted by some cakes (shortbread, cookies, pistachio, almond, chocolate cakes...), they are delicious. With a cup of tea, it's even better. One in case of greed.

Zen atmosphere in this quality bar-resto. The owner is Indian, but not from the area. Nice decoration, varied menu, healthy and original cooking (there is even sushi!) and very fresh products. Try a house cocktail, like the Flamingo made with cranberry, lemonade, pineapple and lemon juice, a shake and a smoothie. Recommended dishes include veggie or chicken bibimbap, soups or one of the breakfast options. On sunny days, sit outside; the view of the river and mountains is stunning. Live music in the evening.

Relaxed décor that invites you to relax. The ideal place for a good meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner), snack or snack. Set on cushions around a coffee table, and in a comfortable armchair, you will spend a long and long time in this restaurant, play a company game (available), surf the Internet, enjoy a browse, a burger or simply drink a drink. Service is pretty slow, surely because of the success of the place. Don't miss the animated evenings: Live concerts, karaoke, company games… 

Located on 4 floors on the main square, you can't miss this must-see address in McLeod Ganj. The atmosphere is quite pleasant, even if the rooms are often full and the rooftop terrace is crowded. The menu is very extensive, with Indian, Tibetan and Chinese specialties, pizzas, salads, European dishes... The food is good but without surprise. You can enjoy your meal with a beer or a bottle of wine.

Lung Ta has been around for years, and is still going strong thanks to its original philosophy: serving authentic Japanese vegetarian dishes. Every day of the week, a different complete menu is offered: miso soup, sushi, soy steak, vegetable croquettes, coleslaw, fried tofu and steamed rice are all featured in these " special sets ". Excellent cuisine and meticulous presentation. The place also boasts a pleasant terrace. A well-deserved success.

This café is the perfect place to come and relax at any time. The menu offers a wide choice of drinks: lassis, teas, coffees, hot or cold depending on the season. But you should also come here to taste the delicious himachali thali which gathers 3 dishes of choice prepared during weddings or festivals, as well as two vegetables, dal and bread. Some more westernized suggestions will also delight the delicate palates (sandwiches, soups...). We like the cosy atmosphere, the rough wooden tables and the pictures of the local flora that decorate the walls.

On the second floor of a building on Mall Road, this small restaurant with midnight blue velvet benches offers a long room. On the menu, a mix of international and Indian cuisine. Sandwiches, pizzas or burgers served with crispy fries are served alongside vegetarian kebabs and chicken tikka. However, we recommend the Indian specialties, which are much more successful. On the other hand, the portions are a bit small. The result is quite appreciable and the atmosphere is nice. Just like the service.
