Born in Avignon, Philippe Gelfi was inspired by the grapes of his region to name his restaurant. Grenache is part of the beautiful Palácio Belmonte, located in the patio of Dom Fradique near the São Jorge Castle. The Geographia restaurant is located at the intersection of Lapa, Janelas Verdes and Santos. It is a new concept of restoration inspired by the era of the great discoveries made by Portugal. From Cape Verde to Mozambique, Brazil, Goa and Macau, all the influences of these distant countries are served at your table, mixed with Portuguese flavours. The restaurant's emblem is the rhinoceros, which symbolizes the crossroads of cultures. It also organizes events such as visits followed by a lunch.

This Nepalese house offers a typical setting that creates a warm atmosphere. The waiters are dressed according to Nepalese custom. A perfect scenario to taste the country's cuisine: fresh products spiced up with the flavours of these highlands. Prawns, chicken, mutton and lamb or vegetarian dishes are cooked with different vegetables and spices. Portugal has not been forgotten and fish with an oriental touch is part of the dishes on offer, such as sole fillets with curry. For dessert, opt for mango ice cream with pistachio nuts!

The products are of the highest quality and prepared in such a way as to preserve their natural characteristics. Homemade gaspacho with marinated octopus, cod pavé with garlic or roasted leek with shallot vinaigrette are a real treat! The wine list is a credit to the house, with its selection of national wines from outside the mass-market channels.

Close to the Santa Apolónia train station, this 1904 establishment has retained its original "Casa de pasto" decor: marble, wood panelling and period ceramic floors. A warm atmosphere in which to enjoy southern Portuguese cuisine prepared with fresh produce from local producers. Petiscos to share and typical dishes will delight your taste buds: skate with garlic(raie de alhada), horse mackerel tartar with almonds and figs or oxtail cozido with chickpeas. A good address with attentive service.

It's located within The Independente hostel. The decor is bohemian and relaxed, with an industrial touch. The place lends itself well to an early evening, just outside the hustle and bustle of Bairro Alto. On the stove side, Portuguese dishes with a touch of originality, such as cod with honey and almonds or carpaccio, massada, arroz and pica-pau. Quantities are not abundant, but the preparations are of the highest quality, especially the petiscos. Special mention for the pleasant indoor terrace.

An Italian restaurant and grocery store that stands out for the authenticity of its Italian cuisine. Its chef, Tanka, attended one of Italy's top culinary schools, Gambero Rosso, and offers traditional yet innovative cuisine using fresh, quality produce. Enhanced with delicious sauces, they exude exquisite flavors - a true culinary voyage! Meats, fresh pasta of the day, burrata... are served with refinement. Selection of Italian wines, lovely terrace and attentive service. Well worth a visit, but reservations are recommended.

Located in Colares, very close to Cabo da Roca, this is a restaurant with a good reputation in the region. It's housed in a beautiful mill with a garden and a breathtaking view of the sea. Very, very nice place! In the evening, the place lights up and it's even prettier. Prices are a little high for salads, sandwiches (although a very good burger) and snacks, but the value for money is still decent. Given the quality of the place, it's definitely worth coming here. There's also a brunch menu for those with a sweet tooth.

These beautiful halls, formerly dedicated to food stalls in an ordinary market, have been transformed by Time Out. The result: a huge, slightly fancy canteen where you can prepare your own meal. There are juxtaposed here a good twenty restaurants - miniature reproductions of famous Lisbon restaurants selected by Time Out - ranging from Portuguese creative cuisine to pizzas and other world cuisines. We recommend the stands on the side that bear the names of Portuguese chefs.

Always very popular, this Brazilian restaurant combines the charm of an old grocery store with decrepit walls and the "explosive" atmosphere of this kind of establishment. Although a little more expensive than in other places of this kind, the picanha (roasted beef with a strong taste), to be washed down with caipirinhas, is a treat! The meal takes place in a warm atmosphere that is very much appreciated. Generous dishes, tasty desserts, this restaurant is a good option to propel yourself to Brazil for a meal.

Located not far from the Belém Cultural Centre, this is an address to discover Portuguese gastronomy. In the entrance, a wine cellar with a good selection of bottles to taste at table or to take away. Then there are comfortable and bright spaces: two rooms and two terraces, one of which is covered. Here, we serve fresh, quality products with a careful presentation. Traditional recipes are the basis, you can stick to the starters with a large choice of petiscos, or choose a fish or a meat. A good meal in a warm local atmosphere.

This is the restaurant of the Internacional Design Hotel. In a modern setting, the "Bâtard", now known as the fish bar , offers a menu dedicated to seafood. An exceptional location for an ambitious cuisine under the leadership of chef Renato Bonfim (advised by Aimé Barroyer, former Tavares chef who also worked at the Tour d'Argent, the Ritz, Paul Bocuse, etc.). The decoration is also very original and colorful, with a beautiful view on the square and a small interior garden to recharge your batteries. Not to be missed!

In a tropical setting, you will taste a lusitanienne gastronomy under traditional influence with a good touch of innovation (crustaceans of crustaceans, carril of gambas, pheasant, nachos cod…).
