MARIONS LES CHOCOLATS

Chocolatier

1 review

Marions Les Chocolats is an artisanal chocolate workshop and store near the church in Pennautier. It is constantly innovating: first of all, with the creation of small chocolate characters, orangettes, macaroons, single chocolates or bars. But also on the substance, with workshops and tasting sessions around wine for chocolate-wine pairings. Marion is also a chocolate trainer for your private events, a rich idea to transmit her remarkable craft work combining creativity and greed.

Roland Feuillas is more than just a baker. Going up to Cucugnan and tasting his bread is a path that transforms you, and not just for your taste buds. Here, the emphasis is on ethics and quality, with the aim of offering "healthy" flours and breads. Our wheat is grown organically, we work exclusively with ancient seed varieties, and everything is stone-ground. A perfect blend of tradition, health and taste. The bread can be kept for a week.

Located on the Place des Menhirs, this ice cream parlour catches the eye with its cosy terrace. Renard took a seat for a tasting of the specialties of this true artisan ice-cream maker. The concept was born in Saint-Malo, where the ice creams with their unique tastes and textures are made. Everything you taste here is handcrafted, from the creamy ice cream to the sorbet and topping. The quality of the ingredients is undeniable, and all you have to do is taste to rediscover authentic flavors. We tested a dozen flavors and our verdict is clear: go for it!

There are ice cream parlors and ice cream parlors and this one is in the category of super ice cream parlors. Located in front of the town hall square, this artisan ice cream maker offers his 100% homemade creations made from organic milk, organic fruits and organic sugar, in short, pure nature in your cone. It is on the floor above the store that everything is prepared, 12 flavors ranging from the most classic: vanilla-pecan, chocolate sorbet, pistachio, mango, to the most original: lavender-honey with berries, "detox" sorbet kiwi, cucumber and lime. Not to be missed!

It is impossible to stroll, stay or reside here without tasting the "Tarte Gruissanaise", a local speciality made with puff pastry, frangipane, meringue and pine nuts, made by Alain Bernard. We also fell in love with the "Narbonnaise" with rum-soaked grapes, as well as the homemade "Croustade". A pure delight that we enjoyed intensely. Very good traditional or more original breads are also sold here, as well as very good pure butter pastries and a wide range of beautiful pastries of all sizes, which appealed to our sweet tooth.

Brioche du Moulin is a bakery which is located at Place de l'Hôtel-de-Ville, within walking distance from the historical monuments. Here, bread is a passion but also a family story: the owners are former millers of Castelnaudary, now flour traders! Their daughters welcome you in the bakery to offer you various breads (with chestnut flour, with cereals, with figs, with whole wheat, in rustic way, etc), Viennese pastries but also some pastries and salted pleasures: sandwich, croque-monsieur, pizza... Then, for the breakfast, between two shops or simply to enjoy good bread, go to Brioche du Moulin!

LE FOURNIL DE GILLES

13 reviews

Gilles Bourguignon, former rugby player of RCNM, has become a proven businessman but still keen on well-done job.  His company is one of the success stories of Narbonne. In his bakery, Gilles bakes bread, Viennese pastries and pastries found in his eight Aude stores under the brands L'Epi d'Ovalie and Le Fournil de Gilles. Here, the breads are baked in an oven heated by wood and worked in the baker tradition: sourdough bread, maize, organic, sliced, cereals and especially the unmissable spelt bread! You will also find, at any time of the day, Viennese pastries, pastries, salty and sweet pies, sandwiches, pizzas, slices of bread, wraps.... And for our greatest pleasure, there are the products from the region: Galette Occitane, Pignes de la Garrigue without forgetting the fabulous Narbonnaise! If you stop at Le Fournil, Route d'Espagne, you will find a small bar that is fitted out as well as a small terrace near the car park. The sandwiches are generous and the fish fresh, ideal for a short break as you leave work or on holiday route!

RETOUR AUX SOURCES

This is the story of Fanny who, having grown up in the family bakery in Sallèles d'Aude, decided to return to her roots, to the place where her father acquired the trade. And she was right to do so, delighting us with her traditional or special breads, chocolatines, butter or plain croissants, almond loaves and other viennoiseries. As for pastries, it's Barbara who pampers us with a host of homemade delights, from tarte aux pignons, a traditional Audoise speciality made with cream and almonds, to entremets, not forgetting the famous Paris Vinassan.
