Read moreWith its sunny terrace overlooking the sea, the Hotel More restaurant is an enchanting setting for a journey through the flavors of the Adriatic. The menu includes dishes typical of Dalmatia (tuna tartare, swordfish carpaccio...), Istria ( pljukanci pasta) and more international fare. There are also good vegetarian options and a fine selection of cheeses. The service is impeccable and the atmosphere tranquil, far from the crowds and noise of the old town.

TAJ MAHAL
Read moreMake no mistake, you are not in an Indian restaurant but a Bosnian one. Here you will eat the famous sausages(ćevapčići) in a round bread, burek, kebab or lamb kebabs, with salad and grilled vegetables, in more than honest portions. As soon as the weather is good, you take a seat outside, but with the wooden tables colonizing the alleyway, it's busy. The coffee is served ceremoniously in its copper coffee pot, accompanied by a loukoum. The owner has opened another restaurant, with specialties, on the first floor of the Lero Hotel.
RESTAURANT TRAMUNTANA
Read moreLocated in a recently renovated part of the Hotel More complex, not far from the restaurant of the same name (and its swimming pool), the Tramuntana restaurant offers spectacular sea views. Breakfast is served here to hotel guests, but the restaurant is also open to the public. Specializing in fish dishes, the restaurant offers a wide choice, from octopus carpaccio to oysters, from shrimp tempura to lobster. Meat and vegetarian dishes are also available. Impeccable service.
TAVERNA DOMIŽANA
Read moreBetween the Albatros and Epidaurus hotels, you will find this small and cosy restaurant, located on the seafront, frequented by tourists and locals. Its large terrace, open during the summer months, can accommodate up to 100 people. Offers Dalmatian meals as well as pizzas. Fish recipes, shellfish, fresh pasta, hamburgers or the house specialty, the platter of various meats with grilled vegetables for two people. In summer, live music every night. Ice cream parlour during the day. Quality service.
MARIJINA KONOBA
Read moreA typical family restaurant as there are some left in Croatia. The menu is simple, there are a dozen dishes, most of which are based on fish and which vary according to the catch of the day. Only the octopus salad remains all year long. We recommend it as a starter because it is this recipe that has given the restaurant its reputation as the best establishment on the island. The second particularity of the restaurant is the cheese in oil. In the high season, one is made every day so that you can try them all, from the youngest to the oldest.
RESTAURANT DALMACIJA
Read moreBefore entering the port, this rated restaurant is located in the historic boutique-hotel of Villa Pattiera, an old renovated family house. The terrace is located in the middle of the square while the place, outside as inside, is distinguished, the warm welcome. Refined cuisine offering à la carte specialities of fish, seafood served in white wine sauce, Italian pasta, such as little with fresh spinach and cheese, grilled vegetables in Dalmatia, a lemon cream.
AMFORA
Read moreIn Dubrovnik, you can also escape the crowded streets of the historic city and find some good addresses. To do so, you have to go where the locals live, in the Gruž market district, among other places. Here, at Amfora, the cuisine is rather refined. The chef is just as keen on fish as he is on meat: tuna steak or tartare, black risotto, octopus, lamb, as well as soups and a few vegetarian options. For dessert: rozata, panna cotta or a plate of Croatian cheeses. Impeccable service. A lovely terrace on the other side of the restaurant.

FILIPPI RESTAURANT
Read moreOn the sea promenade, this family restaurant has a terrace with a panoramic view of the strait that separates us from Pelješac and the islets of the archipelago. The semi-gastronomic restaurant offers a small appetizer to give us time to choose from the menu of contemporary Dalmatian cuisine: local fish, grilled lamb, squid ink risotto, fresh pasta al dente, tuna steak ... A romantic place at sunset, if you are at a table near the ramparts. Reservation required.

BOTA ŠARE
Read moreSince its beginnings in Mali Ston, this oyster family has conquered Dubrovnik, Split and even Zagreb. Next to the oyster park, the company started by opening this quiet terrace overlooking the harbor. The flat oysters made its reputation. They are served plain, with a dash of lemon or, more surprisingly, grilled. The house also prepares sushi and Mali Ston popara , a kind of bouillabaisse of rock fish cooked in a court-bouillon. Finally, you must try the amazing Ston cake with macaroni!
KONOBA VALA
Read moreOn the square in front of the Saint-Nicolas church, the tavern welcomes you in its rustic style dining room and, above all, on the terrace, which enjoys a breathtaking view of the sea. Superb setting! On the menu, fisherman's salad, charcuterie/cheese plate, squid/fries, squid ink risotto, grilled meat, fish or squid, small fried dishes, pizza, Mediterranean cuisine accompanied by a good local wine. To finish, the chocolate pancakes or ice creams are very popular. Friendly reception with both locals and tourists in summer.
RESTAURANT KOMARDA
Read moreYou'll find Komarda just outside the city walls, about 50m past the Ploče Gate, taking a right turn just before the Eastwest Club. This restaurant has been set up in a former park with a tiered terrace. It is reached by steps down to the establishment and then onto the rocks facing the old port. So much for a superb view from most of the tables. Authentic, the Mediterranean cuisine is of high quality, the meats, whole fish and vegetables grilled just right have the taste of good home cooking. Popular with Croatians.

BARBA
Read moreFast food in Dubrovnik is a rarity, as are restaurants where you can get by on the cheap... so Barba goes against the grain. In this little store with its nautical tones, the emphasis is on traditional Ragusan cuisine and local ingredients. The house specialities are the octopus burger, homemade fried fish (squid, small fish, shrimp...) and fresh oysters from Ston, but salads and sandwiches are also served. Special mention for the black bread rolls! Please note: waiting times can be long.
POSAT
Read moreA superb setting with a beautiful terrace facing the ramparts for this gastronomic restaurant. The menu is classic and the cuisine is meticulous. Fish, lobsters, octopus and shellfish are presented at the beginning of the meal. The fish of the day, sold by the kilo, is interesting to share in group. The cooking on the stone barbecue, on which the chef grills meat and fish, reproduces traditional methods but the accompaniment, steamed or grilled vegetables, is a little too little. A meal with a rather high price tag and a pleasant refined atmosphere.
BUFFET ATRIJ
Read moreThis restaurant not far from the road does not have the charm of its competitors in the other hamlets, but is still a very good address. It serves very good grilled meat with home-made vegetables, pizzas, lamb, veal or octopus cooked under the peka (ask in advance), etc. Perfect for groups and to taste the traditional cuisine of Žrnovo in a rustic setting. Don't leave without first trying the macaroni with meat ragout. The owner's mother makes the sauce!
KONOBA VERITAS
Read moreA central restaurant with a terrace on a high-speed square facing that of the famous Kamenice. A good fish card, grilled squid, and meat without forgetting risotto, grilled vegetables or vegetarian plates. Good service but slightly light on the plate.
