South of Wat Pho, Bangkok's flower market, one of Asia's largest markets, is open day and night. This colourful and fragrant market specialises in plants and flowers. Many orchids. Originally formed into five separate markets, this large market has now become one. It is therefore the largest and best supplied with flowers, plants and fruits and vegetables in the city. It's beautiful! It's beautiful! We have a slight preference for the night time, between 3 and 4 in the morning, because it is cooler and more lively.

This is the perfect place to pick up a beautiful silk and to come and buy your souvenirs before you leave (cushion covers, towels, sheets, clothes, etc.). A Duty Free shop as well as a few restaurants and cafes complete the picture.

The visitor is not happy to note that malls and markets often sell the same kind of products at different prices. It is difficult to be set on quality. A government initiative is at the origin of OTOP, which aims to promote a high-quality local pre and allow village communities to prosper through revenues from the sale of these products. It is the insurance to buy a quality product and make it benefit a village community. The products sold are very varied, textiles, wood craft, braided baskets or ceramics.

Ideal, if the dates fall during your stay in Bangkok.
