If the Champagne vineyard, which has had an AOC since 1936, has been visited for decades by enthusiasts from all over the world, it is now possible to participate in its production! Indeed, in the Marne, original services, such as "do it yourself" have been created. So why not create your own champagne cuvee, participate in a brewing workshop or adopt a vine plant? A fun way to (re)discover a mythical territory of our country. Notice to amateurs!

In the Marne Valley, Maison J. de Telmont simply offers to create its own champagne cuvée! During an exceptional oenology workshop at the Damery estate, we first learn a little more about this exceptional beverage, before making our own blend by tasting some clear wines. A unique experience lasting 3h30 which obviously ends with a tasting around a few sparkling cups. Then, you will have to be patient, since it will take a few years of cellar time before you receive your personalized bottle.

Beer lovers will also head for the Marne. At the Brasserie de la Tête de Chou in the hamlet of Alencourt, we invite you to brew your own beer. With a fantastic view of the Côte des Blancs and the cliffs of Cuis, we use the fresh water spring that extends under the hamlet and gives the mineral taste typical of the region's subsoil. In Chalons-en-Champagne, the traditional brewery La Fabule offers, two Saturdays a month, to brew 20 litres of the beer of its choice using the Anglo-Saxon method. Before coming back a few weeks later, once the fermentation is perfect, to bottle it. A great experience!

Notice to gourmands! From the Epernay Tourist Office or the square in front of Reims Cathedral, "Bus en vignes" offers an original immersion in the vineyard to discover the alliance between champagne and chocolate. Accompanied by a winegrower and a master chocolate maker, this is a workshop full of flavours..

Finally, why not adopt a few vines? Julien Chopin champagne offers enlightened amateurs or the simple curious to adopt, for one year, three, six or twelve vines. After a busy day on the estate (with a visit to the cellar and vineyards, an oenological workshop and a meal with champagnes), you will become a winemaker for 365 days. So, ready to try the adventure?
