Events calendar Haute-Marne

In May, organized by cultural Alternative, in partnership with the City of Saint-Dizier, the festival of school and amateur troops of the Champagne-Ardenne region, all framed by professionals, presents about thirty pieces across the city.

Every year around May 10 (in reference to Dimey), this festival celebrates French poetry and song and pays tribute to the poet-chansonnier, a child of the village, Bernard Dimey. Passed away in 1981, we owe him the famous Syracuse, Memère, My feather thing… So the song song is honored during these few days. Many artists went through the stage of the nogentese cultural center: Juliette, Barcella, Thomas Pitiot, General Tour, François Corbier, Graeme Allwright… But this festival also involves exhibitions, tributes, films… Dimey, who would be suing us' I am sure of interest later, you will have machines to speak the dead ', did not mistake: He is still there, with lovers of poetry sung like Yves Jamait… The association also offers occasional shows. Jean-Claude Dreyfus has been released to play there. Intimate but with a beautiful palette of shows!

The Festival itinérant des arts du conte et du récit has been an eagerly-awaited event for over 20 years. For 7 weeks in autumn, professional storytellers criss-cross the region, meeting audiences in village halls, media libraries, schools and even in the great outdoors. It's a festival rich in emotions and discoveries that will delight young and old alike, with shows suitable for all ages. A great opportunity to discover the art of storytelling in all its forms.

During this harvest period of the autumn truffles, mushrooms and fruit, this event will celebrate the land in a moment of celebration and culture. The public will watch the demonstrations of truffle dogs before they go to the nursery nursery of truffle plants and exhibitors around local products. A gastronomic area will allow visitors to enjoy dishes prepared from these seasonal products.

The dark corridors of the Fort du Cognelot play host to the annual Witches' Festival, given that the Thivet and Chalindrey region has a reputation for witchcraft that is rarely disputed. For two days, visitors can enjoy a wide range of entertainment, including a witch's market, theatrical sketches, strolling musicians, jugglers, a witch's labyrinth, face painting for children, a trampoline... The atmosphere is atypical, between false fright and fun! The venue is decorated for the occasion. Everything is in place to celebrate the broom fairies!

Breaking away from music festivals, Tinta'mars puts forward the performing arts and has succeeded in developing over the years a real complicity with its audience through puppets, theater, circus, staging that plays with lights... Its programming for young people and all audiences is irresistible and off the beaten track! The excellent actors, but also the sets open the door to a whole world of dreams. We take as much pleasure in going through the scenes as in observing the sparkling eyes of the children, huddled together.

Do not hesitate and discover Nordic walking! So you can now make a cross in your calendar for this appointment every last Saturday of the month. The city of Saint-Dizier organises two controlled sports hours free of charge. The first hour is devoted to Nordic walking and the second to aquatic activities. The rally takes place at the nautical centre at 9 pm for registration. And if the idea of maillot you in winter makes you shiver, you can only participate at the first hour, and vice versa for those who want to test only water sports.

If Troyes has its 48 h car, Fish has been organizing a long-term vehicle race on Melar lacquer roads for more than six years in June. The circuit is closed, and as in the Tour de France, it is expected to see these vehicles of another age, compulsory over thirty years old. No stopover, here we roll for pleasure! A beautiful, closed road parade.

For several years, Chaumont has played the Paris Plage by investing squares for the pleasure of small, large and sportsmen. The square of Boulingrin, the Agathe Roullot garden, Philippe-Lebon Square, in particular, welcomes visitors throughout July. Classic inflatable games, but also elastifly for the reckless, wooden games, creative workshops compete with kayak, giant airbag, concerts… The New Wave, as they say, to surf the pleasures of summer!

This festival brings animation in the city, and Olivia Ruiz at a metal evening, it is certain that eclecticism is at the meeting! We welcome the small prizes of this festival, which is already in its 12 ^th edition, which brings to the credit of big names such as regional groups. The scenes are located in Saint-Dizier and Vitry-le-François.

Free performances and entertainment are becoming rare. One reason to invite you to enjoy these three days, in line with the Fête de la Musique, in the Parc du Jard. The same precautions are taken as in a concert: water bottles to be opened, no seats, no animals. Great figures of the song come to offer you their register: Christophe Maé, Trois Cafés Gourmands, Amel Bent, Gauvain Sers... The range is impressive, especially when you know the price of a concert ticket. A bargain!

The festival, which is in its 17 ^th edition, has found its rhythm and offers appointments around humor. One man show, theater, humor in music… Large figures like Franck Dubosc or Jamel Debbouze sometimes make the detour, but there are also beautiful discoveries… 6 appointments this year, from January to the beginning.

On March 17 th, a small corner of Haute-Marne will take place at the rhythm of the Fish night, which will take place in the local area and in its surroundings from 18 h. The programme of this convivial sport event: Two adult foot races 5 and 10 km, and some races for budding athletes, a little earlier in the afternoon. And if you were part of it?

August: 13 th Festival of the Dog to Feathers in Villegusien-le-Lac, near the lake. 3 days of current music (tel.) 03 25 87 04 65.

One year in two, the Grand Procession, with its parade of flower tanks and their disguised crews, sa, all and bands… in short, a great popular and fantastical feast.

In search of forest mammals: Wednesdays February 21 and 28, 2pm to 5pm - Maison de la Forêt, Leuglay. A hike for the general public to try and spot the traces and signs of the presence of this wild fauna so closely associated with the National Forest Park. Deer rubbings, housings, leashes... Organized by the Maison de la Forêt.

Wild basketry workshop: Saturday February 24 and Sunday February 25 at 9 am - Maison de Pays d'Auberive. Discover the basics of this traditional craft. Recognize winter shrubs and harvest the plants you'll use to make baskets and other objects you'll take home with you. Organized by the Auberive CIN.

Nature & climate, a close link: Saturday March 2, 2-4:30pm - Jardin de l'Eden, Châteauvillain. The climate is changing, and so are the cycles of nature around us! So what impact does climate change have on nature? Are plant flowering and fruiting disrupted by rising temperatures? To answer these questions, the Haute-Marne climatology association is launching a participatory inventory to collect data. At this event, we'll look at why and how you too can take part in this study.
