We're going to this restaurant first for its location. Situated a little high up in the bay of Xlendi, it benefits from a lovely roof terrace which allows you to have a privileged view, especially at sunset. It offers fish and seafood dishes according to the season and Italian specialities such as pizzas, risottos and fresh pasta. Desserts are also appreciated there as well as antipasti served to wait, such as fromage blanc. Pleasant service and a very reasonable bill do the rest.

You will come for the place, a secluded and beautifully appointed 14th century farmhouse with an all stone house, a shady garden and a pretty bar with vaulted ceiling. You will leave conquered by a varied cuisine of high quality, of French and Italian inspiration. It is prepared by chefs who regularly make their mark in the Lyon region. Small family-run restaurant with a limited card, a guarantee of the seasonality of its products. The service is very attentive and the food above all hope in view of the multiplication of restaurants around. Gabbiano is separate, both by its isolated geographical location of others and with absolute calm as well as the quality of its cuisine therefore. The ballet of the waves crushing on the rocks at your feet with the set of light (at night) put in place by the bosses is worth the detour alone. If the fresh fish caught on the same day around the Maltese coast remains the specialty of the house, Gozo cheese ravioli is rotating and the date is serpent with a vanilla ice and its caramel coulis, cracking!

Quite simply, it's the best fish restaurant in Gozo, if not Malta... Nestled back from the harbor, yet offering a beautiful view of the moored boats, it's on the site of a former nightclub (dating from the 1970s). The bright blue color of the restaurant catches the eye just as much as the smell coming from the kitchen to the terrace attracts the nostrils. Leli and Jane Buttigieg are no novices, and with their son Paul at the helm, they have succeeded in creating the perfect blend of Mediterranean and traditional cuisine. Try the tuna, you won't recognize it because it's cooked so differently from our usual dishes. Vegans will not be outdone.
