In the heart of the island, guest house Augustin Ly is located in one of the oldest houses in Gorée. The rooms are comfortable, spacious and well-equipped with very careful decoration (this is almost luxury) where many objects of art add charm to this beautiful colonial house. An inner courtyard allows you to enjoy the bright colours of the building and bougainvillea, while the terrace offers a lovely view over the roofs. This guesthouse has five clean and tastefully decorated rooms. Some of them are quite small, others are much more spacious. A large part of the profits is donated to the children's home, Keur Khadija, where tutoring is provided. A beautiful initiative launched by Valérie Schlumberger, a former French actress, in memory of a young child who died, Khadija. Possibility to take dance, glass painting and embroidery lessons...

Open for more than 20 years, this complex has developed a whole range of services, from accommodation to car rental, catering and the organisation of excursions. Above all, it is a place where artists meet for residencies. The establishment also has clean and nicely mosaic-decorated rooms, as well as three houses, one of which has direct access to the beach. There is also a restaurant overlooking the bay, featuring seafood and Senegalese specialities.
