This beautiful colonial-style house dates back to 1905 and is located halfway between Ponsonby Road and K'Road, making it a central point for enjoying Auckland's nightlife. Dormitory rooms offer a maximum of 5 beds (not bunk beds). Some have their own bathroom. The same applies to private rooms. There are two lounges, a kitchen and, above all, a large garden with barbecue overlooking the park, as well as two terraces. This openness to the outdoors is a real plus for this very pleasant address!

In the heart of the Central Business District (CBD), Attic Backpackers is a popular rooftop address in Auckland. This "backpacker's attic" offers a range of accommodation options. With a capacity of 100 beds, the format is more intimate than most other hostels in the center, and the atmosphere is friendly. The choice is between dormitories (2 to 12 beds) and private rooms. Meeting areas include a fully-equipped kitchen, dining room, TV room and covered terrace (a must in Auckland's CBD) with barbecue. Unlimited WiFi.

The other hostels have to watch out! A rehabilitated former pharmaceutical factory located in the heart of the capital, The Marion is incredibly comfortable, hyper-central, modern and classy.Each floor features a furnished lounge, ultra-modern bathrooms and a decor that gives this hostel the air of an art gallery. The private rooms are charming (brick walls, queen-size beds), as are the shared rooms (wooden beds, comfortable mattresses, curtains, sockets and lamps, pretty sheets).
