Nakkaş Halı welcomes travellers from all over the world as well as locals, all of whom have come for the quality of the carpets. The reputation of the place is well established: created by Turkish carpet experts for more than 30 years, it offers an incredible collection of more than 20,000 knotted carpets and kilims, embroidered Turkish carpets. In addition to these handmade handcrafted works of art, there are also modern models with contemporary designs and colours.

Two shops face each other. The first one is devoted to carpets, kilims and embroidery, while in front of you there are ceramics, pashminas, narghilés, tea services and beautiful clothing. Ask to see the small wool mobiles in Kurdistan, hanging on the wall. Decorated with boncuk boncuk (blue eye) or a protective mirror, they are nice gifts that are not found in other shops. Modern and friendly welcome. The mascot of the place is a wall eyes of the Turkish van.

A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in 1957, Mr. Nurhan Acun works in silver and copper. He made copies of the motifs from Anatolian civilizations. There are his own creations but also works by other craftsmen. He has worked for many museums and his small shop is ideally located and full of treasures. Managed by Mr. Erkal Aksöy, it is certainly the most beautiful store in the whole Antique district. The whole building is decorated with furniture and objects for sale, placed as if someone lived there. The cellar is filled with wines, fruits are laid out on the tables, smells of little cookies are coming from the kitchen. The garden is full of flowers and a cat is asleep in the sun. The building that houses the antique market was built in 1982. It has 4 floors and nearly 77 shops, its total surface area is 6,000 ^m2. It is a paradise for lovers of Ottoman antiques, you will find all kinds of chandeliers, porcelain pieces, carpets, glassware and other paintings. Many rooms are overpriced, but you can get an idea of the objects and furniture that were in the palaces during the Ottoman period.
