This large complex has a youth hostel and a camping site in addition to the original hotel. The hostel is really nice, with a well-equipped kitchen. There are 70 beds in rooms for two, four, six, eight and ten people. On the hotel side, it's classic, nothing exceptional. The rooms are sober but clean. There is a pub with billiards and a restaurant. You can also enjoy the sauna as well as the hotel's large gardens. And if you're missing something, there's even a small shop. Dogs are allowed.

Bodysgallen Hall & Spa is a haven of peace! You're welcomed into a sublime building containing the restaurant, a communal lounge with fireplace and upstairs bedrooms. In the English tradition, service is impeccable and smiling. But that's not all: here, you can rent your own cottage, next to the large garden at the rear of the main building. A little further on, the spa area opens its doors to us, with swimming pool, bubble bath, massage area... We'd love to spend a few more nights here: it's a jewel!

Since 2001, Lledr House has established itself as one of the oldest youth hostels in Wales. Optimal quality and comfort, especially since the renovation of the rooms. For those interested, you will have the chance to fish (the owners hold the rights) in the garden, on the banks of the river Lledr. It is the ideal place for families or groups. The bathrooms are clean and well equipped! The kitchen is well accessible and well equipped: oven, fridge, gas, many cupboards for those who stay a few days...

Recently renovated, the rooms call for a restful sleep after a day's walk. Beware, however, they may have a very strict policy towards smokers: those who smell like tobacco do not come in! (Cigarettes and electronic cigarettes are not allowed on site.) A minimum number of nights (usually two) can be requested, especially in winter and out of season. Remember to contact the owners before your arrival to get all the information. Summer Hill has a self check-in system.

The site has undergone a veritable metamorphosis since a colossal £4 million investment, and is now a five-hectare park nestling alongside a river. High-quality, modern facilities and Caravan Club membership. On site, you'll find all the facilities you need: clean, comfortable showers, a bathroom with a bathtub for children, a shower for people with reduced mobility... Fully equipped kitchens, laundry facilities with washing machines and dryers...

This luxury hotel dates back to the ^16th century. It has always been a busy place, as Conwy is on the London-Holyhead axis. The rooms are impeccable, and their grandiloquent decor matches the hotel's impressive façade. The two suites are truly royal. But what's most astonishing are the paintings that adorn the walls of the entrance, bar and restaurant. It seems that British painter John Dawson Watson paid for his stay at the hotel with paintings! You can also dine (very well) in the restaurant.

The Empire Hotel & Spa has a very luxurious, Art Deco feel. This hotel has a lot of character, with a Chesterfield lounge and rooms with old-fashioned bathtubs. Some of the budget rooms are a little small, but still very well decorated, in an English Victorian spirit and pastel-gold tones. With its spa (heated indoor pool, sauna, hammam, modern gym, treatment room and beauty treatments...), it combines all the advantages for a relaxing stay. Everything is divine, and you'll feel truly pampered!

A little high up in the city, in a listed Victorian house. There is a good welcome and impeccable rooms. Each of them is decorated in a personalised way, with great taste, in a singular style, colour theme and furniture. Some of the roofs have beautiful white mansard walls, some also overlook the bay or the mountain. One of the best value for money in Llandudno. Breakfast is included in the price. Parking available for tourists with vehicles.

Ideally located in the center of Llandudno, not far from the town's shops, bars and restaurants. The beach and promenade are just a few minutes' walk away. Impeccable dormitories in this friendly, high-quality hostel, run by a very serious couple. You can also opt for the few single rooms. The lounge is a very pleasant place to play a board game, meet other guests, read a book... When you wake up, you're treated to a hearty, full continental or Welsh breakfast.

The welcome at Alan Hughes is excellent. Some rooms overlook the castle, which is illuminated at night. One day, Queen Elizabeth II came to inaugurate a tunnel that diverts some of the traffic. On this occasion, Her Royal Majesty quenched her thirst with a gin and vermouth cocktail in a glass hastily unearthed for the occasion from a local antique dealer. Our host acquired it and displayed it, taking care to screw a copper plaque commemorating the event onto it: yet another reason to visit his dining room. In summer, it's best to book in advance.

Beautifully appointed Victorian house in a rural setting, combining comfort and a warm welcome. Relax in the beautiful, peaceful garden. The hosts will be happy to help you discover the region. There are five attractive bedrooms, each equipped with TV, hairdryer, kettle... Good to know, children under 14 are not accepted. A two-night minimum is required, but in low season, they can stay for one night.

Bodnant Caravan Park is a pretty, flower-filled, well-kept and much sought-after site, run by the same family since it opened in the 1960s. Open from March to the end of October. A minimum number of nights may be required depending on the season. Pets are allowed for a small supplement. For their well-being, they must not be left alone in the caravans in midsummer. Good to know: the gate is closed (and locked!) every night from 11pm to 8am. Remember to let them know if you need to leave during these hours.

Pleasant and spacious hostel with a view of the castle. We are rather well located, because even if we are not in the heart of Conwy, the town being quite small, we are only a quarter of an hour's walk from the castle. In the dining room, offering splendid views, good homemade meals are offered at very reasonable prices. We also appreciate the play area with a billiard table, table football... and access to a computer if needed. The rooms are simple but clean and offer the bare necessities in terms of comfort. Very good value for money.

The Lighthouse is like a small castle clinging to the side of steep cliffs. Almost 113 meters above the Irish Sea, the view is more than magnificent, it's absolutely breathtaking. The interior is comfortable, and the leeward walks between the "two seas" are enchanting. This is one of the most unusual places to stay in Wales. The most interesting of the three rooms is the Lamp Room, with its small sitting room and huge skylight offering a 280-degree panoramic view of the sea.

Renovated old Welsh farmhouse, clean and welcoming. A large fireplace in the small common room makes the place even warmer (wood fire at will). The only disadvantage of the hostel is the 25% slope of the village road, it climbs steeply: ten minutes to go down, three quarters of an hour to come back up! Even in the car, it's impressive. If you feel like going for a drink at the excellent Ty Gwyn pub down the village, take some light as there is no light along the way to the hostel.

An affordable beachfront hotel among the many on the waterfront, the White Heather Hotel stands out for its modest prices and hearty breakfast. Behind its white facade and outdated, slightly faded decor, the rooms are small but clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly, helpful and have good advice on local activities. Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate, and the hotel has the distinction of offering single rooms with en-suite bathrooms.

In the centre of the village, we are very well situated, about ten minutes walk from the Betws-y-Coed railway station. The Vagabond Bunkhouse welcomes you in a large stone house, extremely well appointed and whose reputation is growing a little more each year. There are simple but clean dormitories (bunk beds). It is a good stopover for hikers and cyclists in particular. Pub and terrace in the summer which ensures a good conviviality and a friendly atmosphere. On site local bike shop. Good breakfast.
