This bakery is well known in Alençon for the quality of its products. At the helm, master craftsman Alain and Christel are committed to offering products of excellence: organic breads, but also several delicacies that are hard to find elsewhere, including the famous Pays d'Auge tart, panettone (Italian style!), Christmas jam (homemade) and the delicious teurgoule, which has won numerous awards.

It is under the leadership of Christophe Henninger that this beautiful chocolate factory is a reference in the Perche region. Open from Wednesday to Sunday, you will enjoy the inventive and very professional team of chocolatiers and pastry chefs. Among the specialties: praline candies, ganaches, macarons, saint-honoré, chocolate tarts and some new products such as chocolate bars with caramelized hazelnuts. Also maintained, the very close collaboration with the greatest chocolate houses: we love it.

This is a winery whose reputation has spread far beyond the borders of Argentan! A true mastermind behind this fine establishment, Marc Pottier makes it a point of honour to meet producers of reasoned, natural or biodynamic wines. Here, we share, exchange, make wonderful discoveries and feel good. Local products, such as calvados and other ciders and perries, are also on offer here. The sign says, "The cellar of tasteful French producers": it's true!

Who hasn't heard of the sablé de l'abbaye? This delicious Normandy speciality with Isigny butter was created over a century ago by the baker of Lonlay-l'Abbaye. Forgotten after the First World War, its recipe was revived by Georges Lautour (also a baker) in 1941. In 1964, his son and son-in-law created the Biscuiterie. Since 2003, the company has been committed to preserving artisanal know-how through a factory store and tours of its workshops. At the end of 2024, you will discover an enlarged store and a museum.

Whether you're a lover of sweet things or not, a visit to Maison Casati, artisan chocolatier, is well worth the detour! You'll love the uncluttered decor of this blue-fronted establishment, whose flagship product is macarons. The delicious, airy macarons are made locally. Add to this a wide range of chocolate and confectionery references, and you have one of the city's top spots for sweet treats. The welcome is warm and friendly, and the advice is just as helpful.

Located close to the Basilica, this pretty tearoom and cookie factory is a reflection of its gourmet products and friendly service. Whether you're looking for a quick sweet or savoury lunch or a break during the day, the choice is as vast as it is challenging: here, chocolate is king and homemade cakes are a gourmet's delight. For a dynamic service, orders are taken at the counter and then served at the table in attractive crockery, all in a beautiful atmosphere!

Committed to the defence of the terroir, the Chailloué farm promotes quality products. The beef and veal come from animals raised in the Perche region and fed on grass, hay and cereals produced on the farm. In partnership with local producers, the farm offers: dairy products, poultry, dried vegetables and pasta. Orders can be placed via the website. You can come and pick them up at the farm or have them delivered if you are located nearby. Futé : delivery possible once every 3 months in the Paris region.

A place in the heart of the countryside, and one that's not lacking in originality! Donkeys are raised here, especially dairy donkeys. The properties of this milk, rich in minerals and vitamins, are well proven and are used to make healthy cosmetics and soaps that respect your skin. Shampoos, skincare creams and soaps in a variety of flavours are available. The farm, which can be visited, also offers two comfortable guest rooms offering good value for money.

Fromagerie Durand is not only the last Camembert producer in the eponymous commune, it's also one of the last farmhouse producers of Camembert PDO. A raw-milk, ladle-molded Camembert made from the milk of its cows. During your visit, you'll learn all about the making of this gourmet heir to Marie Harel's famous Normandy label. And let's face it, there's no such thing as "Camembert de Normandie AOP" (the only real one)! The boutique also sells other dairy products from the farm.

At his patisserie-chocolaterie, Jacky Pedro, assisted by his wife Huguette, has perpetuated a family tradition in the heart of the Cité des Ducs. Operating since 1987 in this ^{mid-19th century} house, his creations include Point d'Alençon (a crunchy caramel ganache flavoured with green apple), the traditional Bouchon (a roasted almond praline), Diamond d'Alençon (a confection) and Croustillant de Sainte-Thérèse. And don't miss our excellent homemade ice creams!

One kilometre from the village, this traditional and renowned farm produces marvellous dairy products. Divine fresh creams, yoghurts of all kinds - plain, with fruit -, smooth or country-style white cheeses, faisselles, and above all the marvellous little "Suisse Normand". There are also other jewels in the crown. The Treillebois farm also makes Camembert and two specialities of its own: Pont de Treillebois and Rougeot. Think of stopping there, even if it means making a slight detour, you won't regret it!

On one side of the tea lounge, from the other boutique, this new, charming address in the old town invites you to a gourmet break complemented by a few purchases of tea, coffee, chocolates and other fine grocery products. Every two months, Olena hosts a new exhibition: paintings, sculptures, decoration objects (Japan to honour).

While the absence of a grocery store was sorely felt in the small town of Longny-au-Perche, Barnabé's grocery store opened its doors in 2015, bringing a breath of new life to the village. This grocery store offers local and short circuit products, mostly and preferably organic: fruits and vegetables, dairy products, drinks, bread, bulk sales and hygiene products. Another grocery store was opened in 2021 in Tourouvre-au-Perche, a town that was also suffering from the absence of a food store.

Some people's lives are quite different from others, as in the case of Carole and Pascal, who have launched Madame Green. These former city dwellers turned craftsmen-turned-designers hold high their love of nature and organic fruit. They offer a wide range of healthy, original products. "Biobecs", an alternative to industrial sweets, and "Pipi du Dragon", a substitute for energy drinks, have made their reputation. Since then, they have continued to innovate under the banner of green and Norman values: soaps, syrups, condiments...

If you're passing through the pretty classified village of Villeray, don't forget to stop by the In Vino Veritas cellars. Located just a stone's throw from the Domaine de Villeray, the store offers a wide range of wines from the thirst-quenching to the grand cru, as well as a selection of organic, natural and biodynamic wines. The owner, Roland Sambor, is known for his good advice and for listening to his customers' tastes and desires. Attention, the store is only open on Friday and Saturday. During the week, it is better to call before coming to make an appointment.
