On the wall, a fresco alludes to Montmartre, a nostalgic wink from the tropics. The main French specialties are featured (boeuf bourguignon, calamari à la provençale, onion soup...), as well as typical regional dishes. The main speciality is baked steak with Tofailles potatoes from the Vosges. Excellent wine list.

Here's a simple seafood restaurant that, like all good things, has to be earned. Such is the case here, at Wilson's and his humble straw hut on the Cabarete lagoon. A long dirt road brings you to the entrance to the lagoon. A small boat takes 5 minutes to cross over to the other side. There's no menu here: you can choose between crabs, fish of the day or langoustines (fished directly from the lagoon) with garlic. Connoisseurs come from far and wide, because it's excellent, inexpensive and not at all touristy.

Opened in 2014 in a colonial house just a stone's throw from the central square, Kaffe offers the chance, in addition to breakfast with excellent coffee, to sample some simple, well-made international dishes in the mansion's expansive tropical backyard, or in one of the many quaint rooms on the ground and first floors. Just behind the surfwear and technical equipment shop (Carib Wind) you will find this increasingly popular restaurant in Cabarete. It offers an Italian-Mediterranean cuisine, a grill for churrascos and a daily fish dish depending on the arrival. In addition to this, the Drifter has the concept of an aperitif cocktail bar where you can share the food with friends. The quality is equal to the somewhat high prices. Live music on Saturday, DJ on Thursday and Friday. Sunday is a "Day Party" where the atmosphere is more chill.

A large straw hut set in a garden of green grass, facing the sea, such is the pleasant setting of Chris and Mady's restaurant. It serves an international cuisine without surprises, but with tasty flavours. Lobster lovers will be delighted. At the Aguaceros Bar & Grill you can enjoy American or Mexican style burgers, meat with fries, salads, nachos to share... All this in a simple setting with a sober and pure decoration. Service is attentive and pleasant, and the waiters will make sure you have an excellent evening in Cabarete.

Amel, a restaurateur of Algerian origin, has lived and worked in Cabarete for many years. In February 2023, she opened a friendly restaurant with an oriental ambience, complete with carpets and blue-painted walls. It's a great way to diversify the town's culinary offering. She offers Mediterranean and Oriental-inspired dishes ranging from Morocco to Greece: coucous, hummus, Lebanese tabbouleh, kefta, méchouia, tzatziki, salads... there's no shortage of them! Come and share a pleasant moment over mint tea, chicha and a good meal!

Throughout the day, quick dishes and hot or cold drinks follow one another. La Casona is a gathering place for Dominicans. Warm atmosphere and attentive and smiling service. Charming bar-restaurant on the terrace (in the boutique-hotel of the same name), around a swimming pool, lounge atmosphere and a little away from the city centre and its bustle. The Mediterranean-inspired kitchen is open and you can watch the chef prepare your dish: fresh pasta, fish and especially seafood. Everything is fresh! We recommend the tuna trio and the pineapple/crème brûlée ravioli for dessert, a real treat. French-speaking welcome. From January to March, a foreign chef is invited to cook more elaborate meals.
