When to go to Djerba? In the seaside resorts, the high season is in July and August. This is where you will find the highest rates for hotels. The low season begins in November and lasts until March or April. The rest of the time (May, June, September and October), it is the middle season and it is undoubtedly the best time to go to Djerba. Note however that some establishments only operate according to the two seasons, so it is common to be in high season from June to September. Remember to check before booking. When to go to Djerba? The weather of the island Djerba is conditioned by its Mediterranean climate, rather pleasant all year round. It is its climate that makes it a privileged tourist area for tourists. Djerba's temperatures range from a minimum of 9°C in January and February, and easily reach 30°C in the middle of summer, with sometimes even very hot weather in July and August. Budget

The currency you will use in Djerba is the Tunisian dinar (TND). Food, restaurants, gasoline and accommodation in mid-range hotels are very affordable in Djerba. Imported goods, but also very luxurious hotel rooms and restaurants are rather expensive.

Procedures

To travel to the paradise of Djerba, you will need a passport that is valid for at least the duration of your stay, a return or onward ticket and sufficient funds for stays of up to three months. No visa is required for stays of less than three months in Tunisia and Djerba.

Health

If the sanitary conditions are not the same as in Europe, the dangers are minimal when you go to Djerba. It is nevertheless recommended to be vaccinated against hepatitis A and to check if your vaccinations are up to date (DT polio...). Depending on the length of your stay and the places where you go, it is advisable to protect yourself against rabies, as a preventive measure, but also against hepatitis B and typhoid. Water is not drinkable in Djerba. Do not hesitate to bring mineral water bottles.
