On November 8, the whole island of Symi meets at the Panormitis Monastery for a day of processions, celebrations, banquets, music and dances.

On November 8, the largest religious celebration on the island of Symi takes place at the Saint-Michel monastery in the village of Panormitis. Patron saint of sailors and Symi, Archangel Michael is venerated by all the inhabitants of the island, but also beyond because the monastery is a place of international pilgrimage, famous for its miracles. On November 8th, the whole island meets for a day of processions, celebrations, banquets, music and dances.
