Located in the gardens of the French Institute, the establishment is an institution in Dakar, a small and quiet Eden in the middle of the Plateau. The setting is exceptional thanks to the huge cheese maker that provides shade, the tasty and creative Franco-Senegalese cuisine, including salads and fish dishes. Barbecues, theme buffets or brunches are also regularly organised, offering a friendly atmosphere, as are the musical aperitifs held every opening night. You can also come and have a drink, the bar serves excellent local juices.

Farid remains the reference of Lebanese cuisine in Dakar. In a chic and pleasant setting, the healthy and quality cuisine is served in the air-conditioned room or in the shade of the parasols on the terrace. You will be able to revel in Lebanese dishes such as homos, grand mezze, kibbi, or minced lamb meat. Special mention to the "flat" sharwarma, fresh and tasty as you wish! The former restaurant of France Gall, who co-managed it with Oumar Traoré, who is still very active on the premises, is a great trendy place and accessible to the smallest purses. You can eat good pancakes and pizzas with your feet in the sand and your eyes lost in the ocean. On the first floor, as close to the sea as possible, deckchairs are installed in case you want to take a little nap after eating. Even if France Gall has left us, we are still waiting for her to come through the door, she who really appreciated this place.

If you feel like it, you can order in advance and enjoy a good raclette, sauerkraut and even a duck stew! The hungry will be satiated by the gargantuan portions. In fact, you can take only one dish for two. You can also take it to go.

This restaurant, open to the ocean, offers a beautiful and relaxing setting for lunch. From filet mignon with pepper to chicken fricassee, from mussels fried with garlic and parsley to pizzas, the choice can be difficult! In all cases, the dishes are hearty and well served. The professional staff takes great care of its customers. Just downstairs, a small artificial beach has been set up with deckchairs for those who would like to sunbathe after a meal. A good address!

La Cabane du Pêcheur offers a menu of seafood and fish not often seen on the menu in Dakar: badèche, red carp, carangue, lobsters and sea cicadas. They are caught in the morning and most of them are simply grilled a la plancha. We recommend you have lunch there at noon, between a tour of the village and a trip to the island of the same name. Dinner is just as enjoyable, as it is regularly animated. The house is also a fishing centre (Atlantic Evasion) and has four rooms. An institution of the Senegalese capital!
