LA GARE D'AGEN

Railway station
3/5
1 review

Aesthetically pleasing with its wave-shaped roof, the station features a large glass roof running the length of the façade, enlarging the reception area. As for the forecourt, it's a beautiful pedestrian area, complemented by the terrace of "La grande Brasserie". Agen is linked to Paris-Montparnasse by the TGV via Bordeaux. As the2nd station in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, it is also a stop on the Bordeaux-Sète line linking the Atlantic to the sea. It is also a regional station served by TER Nouvelle-Aquitaine and TER Occitanie / Pyrénées-Méditerranée trains.

GARE SNCF D'AGEN

Railway station

The Agen station was opened in 1856 and is the second station in terms of passenger numbers after Bordeaux if we take into account the former Aquitaine region. Its initial metal hall was designed by Gustave Eiffel's design office and today it has three central platforms, three shelters, an underground passageway and a level track crossing for the public. It is also a stopover station for the TGV between Bordeaux and Toulouse and is mainly served by the Intercités. A multimodal hub, it is practical with its bicycle park and a car park.
