Hay-on-Wye's oldest house, after the castle, housed a very popular bar, but was the victim of a fire in 2005. Now fully restored, the bar has been modernised while remaining true to its spirit: rustic dark wooden furniture, exposed beams, a fireplace and a spacious restaurant create a pleasant and warm atmosphere. A beer garden is reserved for smokers. The establishment is also known for its Italian gastronomic restaurant (with vegan and vegetarian choices). Good value for money.

We perform all kinds of plays, in English and Welsh. The stage attracts spectators from Cardiff and England. Classical and more contemporary music concerts will delight those who have a poor understanding of English. Robert Plant, the singer of Led Zeppelin, performed here. The program is varied and often interesting. If you stay several nights in Brecon, especially on weekends, don't hesitate to take a look at the events planned.
