ST. DAVID'S

A huge shopping centre (Dewi Sant in Welsh) which is the pride of the city. A long phase of work, completed in 2010, has made it the 11th largest shopping centre in the UK. Numerous shops selling all brands of clothing, decoration and restaurants. You can find everything, there are more than 150 shops inside. There's also food, drinks and even a cinema and miniature golf. Good to know: the many arcades offer interesting shortcuts especially when it rains!

A stone's throw from the Principality Stadium or on the official WRU (Welsh Rugby Union) website, you will find the perfect Welsh supporter's gear. You stumble across it by chance and very quickly get lost. Located under the arcades of the city center, this two-storey thrift shop is a veritable Ali Baba's cave for vintage clothing enthusiasts. With styles from the 1960s to 1980s, for both men and women, there's something for every taste and size. Surprise, you'll also find vintage objects, watches, old film cameras, mugs, bags and even magnets to keep a little souvenir of your visit to Hobo's.

Here you can buy the legendary Lovespoon, which the Welsh used to offer their spouses to express the seriousness of their love! They're handcrafted, made of wood or silver, and carved with Celtic symbols. Here are the meanings of some of them: a key, "my home is yours"; a Celtic cross, "trust or marriage"; an anchor, "desire for stability"; number of balls in a cage, "number of children desired or years spent together".
