L'Envers du décor takes us behind the scenes of a theater play where the "technical team" presents us with very tasty culinary creations! It unveils an unusual decor where industrial frames raise the large curtains of the ceiling. The bar seems to come straight out of a theater set and the furniture of the large hall makes this place very lively. One will be surprised by the fish which are prepared like monkfish in curry. Depending on arrival, it is possible to have the first taste of perch 100 % Lake Geneva (rare in Geneva).

Two friends who welcome you with great friendliness in a harmonious, authentic setting with period ceramic tiles and exposed stone. An invitation to a cuisine rooted in tradition: entrecote de boeuf, tournedos, whole sea bass, swordfish, pot au feu, of course, or veal shank. A warm address.

A must-see in Fribourg, this establishment was taken over a few years ago by Frédérik Kondratowicz, a Franco-Swiss chef promoted to Gault & Millau Romand de l'année in 2011: a lover of books and art who makes the restaurant his home. In a popular brasserie atmosphere at lunchtime and a more intimate, distinguished atmosphere in the evening, he offers refined, generous cuisine, always with a touch of originality. Beautiful view of the lower town and cathedral.
